I never understood why he was so highly rated at Arsenal, he was better than clowns like Diaby but he was still a much weaker player than Cesc, Flamini, or Rosicky on the rare times he was healthy. I know English defenses struggle against any half decent dribbler but even then all he could do is dribble through defenses and hope that someone was nearby because he wasn't a particularly good passer either, it's not shocking that he couldn't even do that against Spanish defenses.

I'm surprised he is as bad as he is in Germany but I'm not surprised he's not dominant either, by this point the whole world knows his game and how easy it is to contain him.

Hlebs form is going up lately, as is the form of the whole Stuttgart squad after the new coach arrived. He is still nowhere special or flashy, but maybe he will get there ...

For me Hleb has been the best performer for Stuttgart today, just after Serdar Tasci... all the nice moves from them involved Hleb and he's got really good speed!!! When he's doing good at LW for them why not for us!?

But damn you bitch, you are not gonna wear a Blaugrana again, fuck you for playing your dirty game with Puyol:angry:

He played decent, but if he had put in that performance in our shirt we would have said he was garbage.

After that first half he had!? No I wouldn't... Their goal was a result of his exceptional pass at far left. Not only that, he also put a very inspirational performance and almost every good move from Stuttgart involved our Hleb. He almost Hlebbed us!!

But in the second half he was again the Barcelona player Aleksandr hleb :p

Calm down, he looked good against Marquez, not Maldini. If there's anything he learned from his Premiership days it's how to take advantage of bad defense.

Hleb just officially stated, that there is basically a '0%' chance that he will stay in Stuttgart after this season. He said there has been a positive conversations with Barca regarding his future, but he could also imagine joining another Bundesliga club ...

Could be that Bayern is interested again, that would be my first guess. Maybe as part of a Ribery deal? Just speculations from my part ofc ...

apparently, he's coming back!

Alex Hleb admits he will be returning to parent club Barcelona at the end of the season after falling out with Stuttgart coach Christan Gross.

The Belarus midfielder is fed-up with the way he has been treated by Gross this term.

"My contract says I can only play 60 minutes a game," Hleb said sarcastically, "but the team plays much better without me and so Gross did the right thing.

"I do not know what he expects from me, but I have a problem with him. We talked, but nothing was achieved. My chances of staying here? 0%."
