Alexandre Pato

He has a year & a half left on his contract, so it's best to cash in on him asap, considering we have two bright young forwards in El Sharaawy & Niang. Pato is no longer the golden boy.

I appreciate what you are saying about injuries, but the same was said about RVP a couple of years ago. Wages might be a stumbling block, how long on his contract?

RVP never had a recurring injury. It was always a freakishly unlucky one that was different every time. If we could compare Pato's injuries with another player, the first name that comes to mind is Torres

Reports coming in saying he's off to Corinthians for 15 mill.

Really sad for him, hope gets better and returns to Europe.

There'll be another meeting after the first of the year to finalize things, according to the Italian rendition of events but yeah, looks like he's going back to Brazil. Unfortunate but probably best for him. Talented player and nice guy.

Pato is a good player if he's healthy. Being in Brazil may help his chances for the WC squad if he performs and stays healthy.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has reached an agreement with Corinthians over the €15 million sale of Alexandre Pato in São Paulo on Wednesday.

Pato, 23, is set to join the World Club Cup champions after a five-year spell in Italy that was badly disrupted by injury in its latter stages. Milan had parted with €22 million in 2007 to secure his services, but have seen his value decline as his appearances have become ever more sporadic.

The striker will now become Corinthians' second major transfer of January 2013, following Bayer Leverkusen's announcement that Renato Augusto will also be joining the Timão for the new season.

Milan director Galliani will remain in Brazil for the time being as Milan also look to offload want-away forward Robinho, although Flamengo have now pulled out of the race for his signature. The paper reports that Santos, Fluminense and São Paulo remain in the hunt.

The transfer of Pato, if completed, will likely break the record for a Brazilian transfer that does not rely upon financial assistance from a third-party investor, as in the case of Carlos Tevez's move to Corinthians.

Desde então, vive altos e baixos no clube italiano.

I guess Milan is still suffering with the thoughts about the ammount of cash PSG offered for him in January.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen.
2007 and 2008 fifa this guy and Bojan destroyed EVERYTHING. They would play for a decade and a half and reach unprecedent heights. Even Messi's stats in 08 were poor compared to them. I remember on my Milan team they'd score 70 goals a season between them (before messi made this a personal matter 70goals between two strikers was considered beast mode)
Ah well, goodbye Pato.

Just serves to reinforce how great the greats like Xavi, Iniesta & Messi truly are - peaked at 21, crazy

Who will Milan buy?
They still have Robinho, Bojan, El Sharawy, Pazzini and 18 year old Niang. Maybe they stay like this.

They have enough strikers but i think they should buy a midfielder like Christian Eriksen. I even read once that Eriksen loved the Serie A and wanted to move there one day. He could form a deadly combination with El Shaarawy
