He has finally brought his World Cup form to league football. Been on fire since the turn of the year. 35m looked a fair price at the time, but now looks a snip.

So well rounded. Gerard style goal and turning in to a Gerard style footballer.

Available for 35 mil yet hardly any other big clubs were in for him, eh?

35 mil for a 90 mil mid is a total steal, innit?

It is. Absolute steal. At least we have an excuse that we didn't have money to spend last summer. But other big clubs that need a box to box midfielder and weren't in for him at that price fecked up.

Liverpool also got lucky. Reminds me of Kroos signing for Madrid.

Exactly the player we need. Midfielder with attacking threat and goals, that also works hard in defense. With a perfect age.

He would walk into our starting 11. Rate him more than Frenkie, he is much more dangerous attacking
Dribbling: Frenkie.
Passing: Similar but Macca has more range, is calmer and more decisive in the final third.
Shooting: Macca.
Defending: Macca.

Macca also takes set pieces and is more physical despite being so tiny. More heart and passion.

But Frenkie dribbles which means casuals will always rate him higher because it appeals to their novice eyes more and looks better on Tiktok clips. Similar to how so many casuals still rate Iniesta above Xavi. Easier on the eye.

This fool talking about casuals as if he isn't one

His price didn't reflect his quality and how brighton normally sell players, so Liverpool got a freaking steal.

Man Utd, especially should be kicking themselves.

City have an execute of already having a stacked midfield and I don't think he'd leave the EPL for anything but Spain's big two and we are broke, I'm just happy Madrid weren't looking in his direction, would have been a great long term tony or modric replacement.

He's Class, with a capital L, that shows up when needed, let's not compare him to De jong please.

He had a ginger clause that lowered his largely unpublished buyout.

If we had 100m to go for three midfielders, would probably offer 80m for Kimmich, 60m for Zubi and after spending all summer chasing them and getting rejected, end up with Oriol Romeu.

This guy has jumped up a level or two since going to Anfield.
Always though he was just a good solid signing but he's much more. Would have loved for us to get him for 35m.
Probably cost double that now.
