Alexis Mac Allister

Highly disappointed with him. He's been so average that it's unbelievable. Our worst midfielder this season. Fuckin Curtis Jones has been way better than him.

Nowhere near world class. Him and Szoboszlai have been useless. Atleast Szoboszlai can run all day and is a beast physically.

Haven't given up on him yet. Let's see if he can improve and turn it around.
Calm down, he was injured and traveled to Argentina.

Probably playing with injury.

Aye, the more Billy rages about Alexis and Enzo, the more it means that Messi did a carry job at WC 2022 :mou:

Aye, the more Freedo twerks for Xavi and Iniesta, the more it means that they carried Pessi throughout Barca's prime years. :mou:

He seems the type who's very good as a midfielder, but not so good in general play that stats are irrelevant for him. So he needs to try to add some goals and assists.
He's not exactly a stats merchant but neither is he an elite technician who'll control the game.

His ball carrying, dribbling, shooting are above average/decent. He's supposed to be a good passer and intelligent though. He was last season.

Kinda like Gundogan but with worse technical ability. Lacks the world class potential. Missing that one insanely good attribute that stands out.

He was supposedly our best midfielder starting this season. Currently he's not in our strongest 11. Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Jones are all comfortably ahead right now.

Yeah he's a bit jack of all trades master of none. I do like him a lot though. That is what I meant that he isn't a stats merchant but his all-round game isn't good enough for stats not to matter at all - unlike, say, Iniesta.

He was supposed to be like a Thiago replacement but he's nowhere near his talent. I don't expect anyone to have Thiago's ability because he was a freak.

Henderson and Wijnaldum were consistently much better than Macca has been this season. And those 2 are hardly players people fancy.

Szoboszlai can be in poor form and still add something to the team coz he's strong, fast, tall and has a great engine apart from having the most powerful shot in our squad and being great at set pieces. He has that X Factor.

Macca has to improve his all round game and technique otherwise he'll be replaced soon with Zubimendi or somebody like that.

Yeah you make some good points, especially about Thiago's talent and Dom's physicality. Alexis seems a bit in between - a good all rounder but doesn't 'excel' in anything.

Still a quality player but has to do more.

Dom is supposed to be an elite technician too btw. He isn't all about pace, stamina and physicality. He's a technician first.

He was scouted as a poor man's KDB. He's great at shooting, passing and set pieces. We just haven't seen enough of his passing talent yet. We have seen his shooting talent at the start of last season and this season. He's supposed to be a potential world class AM for us. Slot loves him and I totally see Dom's immense talent/potential. And no, it's not pretty privilege!
