Alexis Sanchez

Barçapocalypse NOW!
It's good he stays, if he fulfils potential he's a perfect fit for us, even if our play is a bit against his counter attack nature.

I don't think deu has the mentality to make it anyhow

Deu still has a long way to go, expecting him to be a regular for our team right now is just wishful thinking... The La Masia bubble will burst soon, that's not to say we don't have good prospects and that our youngsters shouldn't have a fair chance to prove themselves, but the fantasy of producing world class talents like bread needs to be toned down...

I have faith in Deu and believe he will be a great player, but that will happen in a couple seasons... And even that depends slightly on Eusebio to show him the way and on Tito to lead him through that bumpy road, which right now seems like a huge question mark...

Sánchez has shown a glimpse of what he's capable in the last third of the season, he's been the only attacker to rise up to the occasion after Messi's injury, sure it may seem "too little, too late" for some, but what does that say about the rest of our attacking players who seem to get a free pass?

People were complaining about how dependant we were on Messi and how he was the only one scoring and creating chances, then he got injured... So Alexis, with all his limitations, took it upon himself and managed to get results that secured La Liga trophy. Yes, Madrid was at a considerable distance, but we still had to win those games and Alexis delivered...

Ironically, people dismiss those performances as "he must be sold anyway because he can only perform without Messi" when in reality Sánchez provided this last few months what all of us have been wishing for a while now: Someone we can rely on when the big guns are out... It's just something to think about. That doesn't mean he is next Balon d'Or or that we should keep him at all costs and that he will be our saviour or an automatic starter or anything, it just means he is a hard working player that is willing to do whatever it takes to make this team champion, sometimes he may fail, even epically, but his heart is always there, which last time I checked was what some dude named Pep Guardiola used as foundation to build this team...

I was never a huge fan of Pedro, but he looked great in 09/10, he started winning me over. In 10/11 he wasn't as good (in overall play, imo) but he still netted goals. Since then he has been total shite. Work ethic isn't everything- any player can run around aimlessly putting pressure. His passing and link up play have been lacking, not to mention he never takes on his man anymore. The good thing about Pedro in the past was that it seemed like he had a increasingly developing eye for goal, but that never happened.

Alexis can be very frustrating at times, but he's always had much more potential than Pedro. The only thing holding him back now is his confidence and the need for him to start developing his left foot because he is an extremely 1 footed player atm.

As wrong as it can get.

1) They are on par when it comes to defensive duties.

2) Yeah, you are right, the offensive gap is huge, huge, huuuge between them. It is so huge that Alexis has scored and assisted more than Pedro since he came while playing like 1000 minutes less.

3) Yeah, we can see how well he shoots and finishes now when off-form on the amount of goals he has scored

4) Pedro will start no matter what happens. He is to Tito what Keita was to Pep.
Sure, playing 1000 minutes less and scoring versus which opponents actually? Can you remember?
Or to put it differently can you remember any important goal Alexis scored? I can remember only vs Madrid 1-3 dec 2011, and it was not a hard one..
Do you want me to remind you of the important goals Pedro has scored? Maybe of the goals he scored in finals?
Also, please rewind 2 months back and see pedro finishing with his left to put Barca to 1/2 versus PSG. Is there any chance Alexis would have done the same receiving the ball there?
Also, can you show me any shitters Pedro missed? For i can show you a dozen Alexis has since he arrived..
Do you get it or not yet?

Wake up. Pedro is better. Tito prefers him bcz he is better than Alexis. Simple things. Since they offer the same defensively, Pedro offers more offensively unquestionably.. He can also take the width of the pitch that Alexis cannot, and is a thing immensely important as we often struggle with all our players in the middle..
Even in his first season, when he was better, Guardiola admitted after Cup final that he was wrong not to use Pedro ahead of Alexis during the end of the season..

Does it even matter? Pedro also plays against weaker teams, so that argument fails.
Yeah, he has scored important goals after that one. And no, that goal was not so easy to score as you claim.
Irrelevant because that was so, so long ago. What he did 2+ seasons ago means f*ck all because what he did back then will not win us anything today. With that logic, Ronaldinho would still be in Barca XI till he died.
Yeah there is, why wouldnt it?
Yeah, Pedro has also missed seveal sitters.

No, hes not. Your claim about Pedro unquestionably offers more offensivly is plain retarded, because he does not. Its a fact.

funny i thought his best games in 2011/2012 were with madrid which are not without pressure at all.
+ if i remember right he earned a valluable penalty with psg this year.
its not his fault if barca plays only 12-15 games with real pressure and he participates in lets say 5- 8 of them

1,2 matches or 1/2 incidents which he did good doesn't justify tens of matches which he went invisible on the pitch, missing chances, ridiculous divings, failing to dribble past his opponents, misplaced passes and his constant moaning to the referees. He earned one penalty and then what?? Should we shower him in gold now?! He's playing for fucking Barcelona! He has to show that week in week out, not once in like 6 weeks or something.

I just reminded you Vs PSG, which is first important, and secondly very recent.. Just send me some vid with Pedro missing sitters.. It would be fan to see if you can get any.
You can be as blind as you want.. I used arguments based on the players characteristics. You can continue with your fanaticism. Tito knows better

i believe he is showing it the last 6-7 weeks.he has something like 7-8 goals and 6-7 assist.
cant u see it?oh i forget it was games whithout pressure.
calderon for example is an easy ground ,parc de princes, san mames and Camp d´Esports too.ok u are right
.he scored in all that grounds, maybe by lack..as u cant accept it,but he scored and was one of the MVPs.
on the other hand i recognize that early in the season he had many bad games but that not means he is useless.
something was not working for him at that time and that is coaching staffs job to solve it IMO, because the skills are there, obviously, again IMO.

It's good he stays, if he fulfils potential he's a perfect fit for us, even if our play is a bit against his counter attack nature.

+1.at least not yet .

Do you even watch the games? Spme examples would vs Valladolid (2 chances) and one against Real Madrid).
You are the blind one. I used arguments based on what they actually did and their Contributions. You cant claim that Pedro offers more offensively when he in fact does not. Alexis has contributed more, its a fact.
Yeah, right, Tito knows better, he cant be wrong anywhere can he. We will simply have to see how it goes next season.

Before the last game, our third most effective, attacking minded player this season.

They should not leave but give alexis starting rather than pedro who is such a below average player for the last two seasons.

Why would alexis be important even before Pedro who is a native Barca player, who played so eficiently in quite a number of important games scoring vital goals rather then alexis who scored just two massive goals for Barca both agains R$al ?

We simply forget too easy the start of the season that Pedro had and are waiting infinitely for alexis to be important to the boat...

Though Deu is quite green for the first team he still has some impressive piercing power, something that only Messi and Iniesta surpassed. Tello is quite good too at this but he needs lots of space for that while Pedro can't do it in a regular basis and Alexis is totaly non existant as a pierceng attacker !
