If we get Reus I'd sell him for € 40M.

Reus (Dortmund): "Barça rumours? Won't deny I feel flattered, but I'm focused on my club. At end of season, anything can happen." [via sport]

I agree with the guy on the last page. He hasn't impressed in any tight game except when he came on as a sub against a Real Madrid side which was chasing the game. And that wasn't a tight game. It was an open game. Against Milan he looked fairly lost and against Atletico the same. I still don't think he plays well overall, despite the goals in La Liga.

In fact he destroyed Madrid's defense playing on the right, he is versatile.

My point still stands that he wouldn't play his natural game playing for us. He wouldn't touch the ball nowhere near the same amount he would score less goals, he would dribble less etc. All these things happen to players we buy because they all -whether told to or instinctively- change their game to play for Messi.

Alexis Sanchez: 17 starts (3 substitute appearances), 11 goals, 4 assists
Marco Reus: 21 starts (2 substitute appearnaces), 10 goals, 6 assists

OMG sell Alexis now

Uhmmm. You do realize that you are comparing Alexis' best ever goalscoring form in his life with Reus' form in a catastrophic Dortmund season where half the Dortmund squad is injured, right? And even then Reus matches Alexis' stats.

Alexis' goalscoring form right now against open La Liga teams isn't what is bothering me anyway. It's the fact that he goes completely invisible in the games where he doesn't get much space.

Against Atletico Madrid: 0 shots, 0 key passes, 24 touches in 67 minutes, 0 crosses, 0 throughballs, 0 dribbles.
Against Milan at home (a game which we completey dominated): 1 shot on target (awful 1 on 1 miss), 1 key pass, 0 crosses, 0 throughballs, 0 dribbles.
Against Milan away: 1 shot, 0 key passes, 0 crosses, 0 throughballs, 0 dribbles.

He consistently has the worst ratings in these kind of games. I think he still doesn't suit the Barcelona style.

The sex has been delivered many times this season, as a critical Alexis fan myself, I'm pardoning him from a few off games which you stated.

Your points are correct but I don't think that validates being so under-appreciative of what Alexis gives. He may not be the "full package player" who can translate his abilities into any and every single game/situation but he still is very useful and has given us a great attacking threat many times this season. His flaw is that his performances are only dominant in open games, it doesn't mean we can't take advantage of that. I'm willing to bet that we'll see a lot of important games this season be open (the City tie being the most obvious).

You can't expect Alexis to be perfect, even the most elite of players aren't amazing in every aspect and style of play. We can still rely on Alexis for at least the next 2-3 seasons, and during that period Deulofeu will grow and take over as a starter.

40 mil. is a pretty fair price for Alexis at the moment, 45-50 would be more accurate though. The thing is Alexis is a nightmare to play against. If he were to play against us I would feel very very worried.

I don't think we need to buy only players that suit our play, since the idea is to implement new things in how we approach a match. We need to play more diverse and that's what Tata wants to do. Alexis provides diversity to our game. He makes the most runs behind the enemy lines, tracks back all the time, ocassionaly makes the opponent put two players to mark him and so on. The Madrid match is quintessential to that aspect. You play him in the gap and he's a monster. You don't, he seems out of his confort zone. As I said, Alexis is a nightmare to play against. Just ask Varane. And Diego Alves.

His true value for Barcelona will be proven whenever teams open up against us. Madrid did and got to experiment Alexis's power on the counter. And Reus has a lot of space to use in Bundesliga. If Alexis were to play there, and not against parked buses, I bet he'd score 20-25 goals per season easily.
