Reus has a free role at Borussia, while Alexis has a strict role. Alexis is making sacrifices for the team, his movement creates space for our other forwards. You can't have three Neymar's or Messi's. You need one Alexis/Pedro that provides the workrate. It looks like an attack from heaven Neymar Messi Reus but I doubt if it will work.

Yeah, I've been reflecting on this possible scenario since his name has cropped up again...Was thinking that Rosell does seem the type to sell talent before they fade and profit handsomely...Alexis would garner a nice transfer fee with the form he's in and apart from these past few months, hasn't really been known as a goalscorer...Still, would be a huge gamble considering how well Alexis works in this team and the chemistry he has with both Leo & Neymar

Business wise, would be a good or at least interesting move to bring in Reus plus profit from Alexis' sale...But sporting wise?...In the short term it'd be a mistake, IMO, but longterm would be hard to gauge

Longterm it might workout montoya is less likely to bombard forward than Alves so the need for a very defensive winger is lessened and in the next 3 years Deulofeu will transition into our starting RW and that kid isn't going to do much defending so we'll have to start transitioning to a front 3 of roaming dribblers anyway.
