Alexis Sanchez

He was very good tonight, a little eager to score in the final ten minutes but very good anyway... I see that as a positive thing though, showing he has hunger for glory and trying to make the best out of his minutes on the pitch...

This guys confidence in front of goal is beyond frustrating. Good game overall, but needs to improve finishing!!!

The chance he missed after the brilliant pass from Pedro seemed pretty bad at first, but the defender got there right on time while Alexis had just ran all the way back to our box to recover the ball and then up the field again the get to the end of that play... To me his legs failed him more than his finishing in that one play, other than that I can't recall any other blunder in front of goal...

He hesitated that's why the defender caught up and was able to make the play. Atleast that's what it looked like to me. When you run onto a pass like that, you've got to not fuss about and just drive it in the net, like Iniesta's at the weekend. He seems to think too much about what to do next, instead of relying on his instincts, and that gets him into trouble. We'll need all of our forwards to put away chances like that.

He always takes an extra touch which is indicative of his hesitation.

Yes, yes, I totally agree... There was a split second he took to control the ball that allowed the defender to get there, I didn't explain myself very well... I was just thinking that it could have been because of the long run he had just made...
