Inflation on transfer prices is going to fuck up the game... Clubs pay ridiculous prices for the Andy Carroll's and Bale's and Luiz's of the world, prompting others to use those as pillars for "fair market price", i.e "if Bale is 100m Alexis should be 50-60m". Or something that'd work against us is "If Luiz went for 50m, Benatia should go for 65m". It's become neverending and will just freeze out smaller clubs and create a market where only rich owners with financial muscle can compete.

So we sell our players for the price of your ''fair market' and don't take into account this inflation ? Let's say that we can get fucked for free, it's the same.

The answer to that worrying tendency is to keep your players longer. Don't make changes (by selling players) unless they're absolutely ncessary. As it is though, we absolutely need at least 4-5 top signings.

My fucking god... luiz costs 60M but we want to sell Alexis for 20. I hope he stays, but if he leaves, I hope to be at least 40M. The problem is you never know with Zubi

You can't gauge every single transfer to what Real Madrid or PSG pay for a player. It's a stupid way of looking at things.

15 million for Alexis is laughable, but so is thinking that he is worth 50m.

Anywhere between 35 and 40 is the right price for Alexis IMO.

If will be better for Barcelona if he does go. He'll probably score 4 goals in the World Cup raising his value. Teams are bidding now because they know his value could potentially increase after the WC.

I wish him the best where he goes but it would be painful to see him in the starting line up for Barcelona again.

players are worth what clubs are willing to pay + atm Clubs are looking for defenders (we, Bayern, Psg, Manu,...) so the value of cb's will rise.
if you want to get rid of a player and clubs are only willing to pay 20-25 then that is his value.

But u only need one fool who is willing to pay 50

Ozil cost Arsenal close to that price. Mata too. All that happens is you cant sell him to an Italian team. Alexis is a 40 million euro minimum player.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
This goes beyond whether you like the player or not... This is not a matter if Alexis is the right fit here or not, it's about doing intelligent business, and if we let him go for less than 40 million, then we are completely screwed...

A team would have to be drunk to pay 40 million for Alexis.

Offering 10-15 for Mascherano is the real crime.

This board is FORCED to make good business deals this window. Absolutely pivotal.

Selling him would be the most idiotic move ever. Especially now that we have new coach who could improve him and who values hard work and effort which Alexis displays in every game.
Sorry, but judging by this season I would rather let Neymar go then him.
