His first season was so and so. He started badly the first 2 months, but after the 5-0 win against Real Madrid he played at a high level for around 2-3 months. But after that, he was missing so many chances that you could have forgotten that finishing was his biggest strenght. He was even made fun of for it in Crackovia(pro-Barca comedy show)

Then his 2nd season, he was bad, really bad, until his injury. In his third season, he started scoring at a pretty good rate, but everything else he did was average to non-existent..

This...

You seriously expect Deulofeu to score 19 goals, provide 10 assists and pull off two golazos against our biggest rivals in the following La Liga? I don't. Instead, I see Alexis as the no.1 option on the right wing, but not as a line-hugger but as a wide forward who comes inside a lot.

...and this.

No I don't, he will only get limited minutes in his first season. I hope he'll be pushing for a starting spot by the 2015/2016 season.

I'm sorry but Villa did not start badly his first season. He scored in his very first La Liga game for Barca and in his first 2 months of La Liga he had 4 goals in 8 games played and 2 goals in 3 games played in the UCL group stages. He was good right from the start.
He did hit a dry patch towards the end of the the season but Barcelona as a whole team ended the last 2-3 months of that season on a pretty dry spell collectively. They only scored something like 18 goals in the final 13 La Liga games. They just happened to be at the height of their dominance and the collective scoring drought did not hurt them.

Maybe you're confusing the start of his second season with his first season. He did start the 2nd season really slowly up until he broke his leg.

Villa had one very good season, the 2010-11 one, but that bone fracture was very unfortunate for him, never really got back on form from that point on.

I don't remember exactly what he said, but I recall Mou defending Benzema by taking an indirect dig at Villa for his form just before El Clasico. I remember this clearly, because I recall how everyone started making fun of Mou because it back fired on him..

All in all, I would agree with the notion that Villa was quite good in his first season, but it was nothing extraordinary..

I think his goal against Atletico somehow secured his spot in our line up. We were toothless in a must win game and Alexis was the only one to let us hope for some minutes.
Because of that I am not so nervous about any rumors.

I don't know about that. This Barcelona board is on a great quest to reach new heights of unseen stupidity.
