Alexis Sanchez

I'd say it was pretty certain. We sold him at least 15 m. too cheap. He should've left for around 60m euros. It's outrageous that Suarez cost (almost) double the sum Arsenal payed for Sanchez. The difference between them is marginal. The only difference is that Suarez is better as a CF, while Alexis is the better winger-midfielder. Quality-wise, there's not much between them. They're a match on workrate and dribbling, and I'd even say Alexis' finishing is better at the moment. Suarez is better at fighting off defenders, and that is why he is a great CF choice.
You're truly deluded if you think that.

His sloppines drives me crazy. Glad we got rid

I know not everyone has to be as smooth as Iniesta but he just doesn't cut it for me

Alexis is not overrated. I don't know why he chose to go to Arsenal when he could easily walk into City's or Chelsea's starting eleven. He's definitely better than Willian, Jesus Navas or Cuadrado.

Were City and Chelsea even after him?

It seemed to be Liverpool and Arsenal were his choices.

Alexis is an individual who needs to be given license to roam and find space. He doesnt have the decision making or footballing brain to play well as a system player.

Here we go, after Suarez's best game in a Barca shirt and a meh performance from Alexis when Arsenal played terribly, everyone will start making comparisons

I'll gladly admit he hasn't gotten into form since returning from injury, but I expect him to return to his best

Alexis has looked exactly as he did today in a lot of Arsenals big games this season.

He looks to have exactly the same flaws he had at Barca.

Not even close to Suarez even when at best. Neither in England nor in Spain.

He played well, its just Arsenal are a mess of a club right now. Until they get a back line that can play a passing system, you will continue to see this sort of result for Arsenal unfortunately. Why Wenger thought Mertersacker could ever succeed in his type of system is beyond me and his lack of pace, slow decision making and reading of the game cost Arsenal on the break.

As far as Alexis vs Suarez, its a terrible debate to begin with because you are comparing two different type of attacking players. Alexis is much more of a winger and Suarez much more a striker and whether or not one is a better fit than the other, in my opinion, has nothing to do with their characteristics or personalities as a player of one being better than the other. Barca needed someone a bit more clinical than Alexis but while Suarez is more clinical, Alexis is quicker and faster.

Both are great players and both have and will do great things for this club.

Arsenal just need a proper holder and some ball playing CBs and then they will be okay but this has been a glaring deficiency in this squad almost since Gallas left a few years ago and Wenger still won't make a move in that direction in the window

Are you saying Sanchez played well tonight???

He was awful and decision making was terrible against an organised defence as it is most of the time.

It was not hard for him as Arsenal were poor he is one of their main players and played his part in them being so poor.

He's an extremely flawed player tonight performance only confirms what we've been seeing since 2011. He's particularly awful in big games and especially away games.

His close control, selfishness and decision making is shocking. Constantly gives the ball away and puts his team under pressure. Arsenal is his level but he isn't Barca, Bayern, Madrid & Chelsea quality for me.

He created some chances and while he wasn't breathtaking, he was far from Arsenal's worst player on the pitch. I personally thought Ozil and obviously Giroud were much, much poorer on the ball. Ozil way too ponderous and indecisive. At least Alexis isn't afraid to take on his man.

He was poor and the fact others were worse doesnt really make any difference.

Saying he played well is not accurate at all.

Whatever dude, you can be a bit tiresome with your overzealous assements of things and when people view it differently, you troll them with things of purely your opinion.

If your team looks like shit, even when you are doing things right, being in the right position and trying to make the right play, your still not gonna look amazing.

Calm your tits dude, I'm not saying he was amazing tonight or he's better than Suarez or anything like that. From what you expect from his sort of play, I think he performed adequately and did his job.
