Man... Get well soon Alexis! He gets injured alot, not because he's got bad physique or anything.. i think a huge part about his style is giving his full speed, full strength runs etc, a recipe for disasters even though its great and noble for the most of it.. same thing could be said about Puyol, the intensity...

I like Alexis but his injury means that David Villa gets the minutes he deserves and Pedro will as well.

Add to that the awful tackle he received...

I've seen Messi get worse tackles... and nothing happens to him xD

At least this will make things easier for Tito. He will be finally able to use Tello more often now. As for Villa, he will just keep playing and improving and that's good as well. Let's hope Alexis returns with goal when he's back.

Alexis out for four weeks

Tests have confirmed that the Chile international has damaged a ligament in his right foot.

Alexis Sanchez will miss the next four weeks after tests on Thursday confirmed the damage to his right foot. Alexis picked up the injury in Wednesday’s friendly between Chile and Serbia in Switzerland.

As it stands, he will miss eight matches against Zaragoza, Spartak, Levante, Alavés, Athletic Club, Benfica, Betis and Atletico Madrid.

Alexis has made 15 appearances this season, scoring one goal away to Benfica. He also missed the game against Getafe due to injury.

Somehow I now think he's going in the summer. He's too injure prone.

Three extremos should be enough until Cuenca can play. I expect all three will get into almost every game.

This could be Tello's big break. If he can average most of a goal or assist a game while Alexis is out, he could move up the pecking order long-term, be on the field most of the time for this team for many years.

Before Barca, he never played big minutes, so I never thought he was brought in for that type of role. I could see him staying long-term, as part of a rotation of at least three side forwards. I think the five side forwards Barca now has are too many and too good for them all to stay (Pedro is not going anywhere). Cesc has earned the role of Messi backup, so the other five will not be playing in the center.

If Neymar arrives next summer, I think Villa would insist on leaving.
