still i not get the hate for alexis, he did pretty well when he was on barcelona, decent on last season of guardiola, not good on season 2012 and pretty good job in tata martino season. the thing that also influence in the performance of the palyers is how much they can take the pressure of the media and the fans

I dont think anyone is hating him. He was a hard worker and did his best, but just lacks the technique and football intelligence to play for Barcelona.

Okay maybe he is, maybe he isn't. The thing is the supporters here react towards any positive news about him with such bitterness, even cesc didn't get this much flak.

Man in some barcelona (spanish speaking forums) are worse, they treat him like the biggest misfortune of humanity, but I get the impression that's mostly because of his nationality

I think he couldnt resist the pressure of the media and the fans, or maybe his style didnt match with the tiki taka style that was using barcelona before the arrival of Luis Enrique.

25 goals for Arsenal. Community shield and FA Cup. Good stuff in his first year especially in a country harder to adapt to for South Americans.

Better than Pedro but not as good as Suarez. That's my classification of him.

First season in the premier league, 25 goals and 13 assists, community sheild and fa cup winner, only arsenal player in premier league team of the season, won pl fans player of the season( which c.r won in 2008) outstanding first season and people still with the negative bitterness and resentment towards him, it is shocking.

Been a great signing for Arsenal. If they are to challenge for the Premier League Title then they need more such signings in other departments as well.

Almost every player from La Liga makes it in England. Tactically and technically they are very much ahead.

We had a misfortune in that summer od 2011 when we signed Alexis and Cesc after winning CL and La Liga.
And Pep did the same mistake after the treble win when he got Ibra and Chygrinsky.

Yea...win the CL then make major unnecessary changes to a lineup that works...

Extend Alves, buy replacement and sell Montoya or Douglas.

Buy one midfielder....dont need to spend 100mil to do it either.

Soldado, Forlan, and Navas did much better in Spain than in England.

I agree that the Premier League isn't as technical, but there are more physical and pacey defenders. A player will get more space, but will also deal with tougher challenges and an overall faster flow of the game. One league is neither better or worse than the other. They're just different

I hated the fact we lost one of the 3 trident members after both our Pep CL victories. First Etoó then Villa broke his leg so he was gone for last 4 months. Here's to hoping we get a full year of MSN and the 120 goal mark is in danger.

Lucho is more conservative than pep so I hope we don't shoot ourselves in the foot this time around.
Maybe the transfer ban is blessing in disguise.

Back on topic, glad Alexis did well at Arsenal. He was a good character but bad fit for us.

ROFL. As soon as a player moves to EPL, the hype train starts up.

 Not the case. He was the best winger from La Liga in 2013-14 bar Ronaldo. I'm tired of this already, but whoever thinks Alexis wasn't world class when we sold him makes me laugh really.
