It's bizarre that so many slaughtered this young player throughout his debut season yet gave experienced veteran Rakitic a free ride . Rakitic who's ridiculously slow and ponderous passes sideways nearly as often as he passes BACKWARDS !!

I, personally, never gave Rakitic a free ride. The guy is average at best.
