Yeah, its childish to put this kind of names for the name of the thread. We should remove it. Besides-its the board's fault to bring him there, not his-i still believe he is trying his best.

If he was trying his best he'd have gone to pre-season instead of chilling on the beach. If Semedo did it, why couldn't he?

None of us know the background behind the above mentioned incident ...

I do know that many big clubs have shown interest in him recently and last summer he was Zidane's main transfer target !

That tells me he's a potentially great player given the success Zidane had had with his player choices ..

And yes the thread title should be amended soon to give each Barca player the respect they deserve .... he's about the 9th fastest at the club as I recall ..

Coming off of a nightmare of a season with us and a summer of ridicule from Portugese fans for awful performances, it'd make logical sense to have pre-season with the team. At least, it would if he was trying his best.

Bringing up Real Madrid doesn't validate his quality. He was awful for Lucho, awful for Portugal, and in the small amount of time he's had under Valverde he's been similarly awful. Who cares how successful Zidane has been. All we did was help Madrid dodge a bullet. No way does Gomes get any minutes in Madrid.

By that argument Barca never sign a bad player if those more qualified than us choose them.

Best ever Messi. Far better than Zidane. Ronaldo has been better for Real than Zidane was.

My take on this is that I'm expecting that Gomes does great this season and proves that he's a more than decent player .

Loads of players under achieved last season for Barca but he's been crucified more than anyone ...


Anyways guys ... No need to fall out - we are all Barca supporters after all .
