4 of those 6 will be 30 and over though. I do agree we need a cleanout, but 4 out of 6 over 30 and a total novice who has proven nothing like Alena is not very balanced. People usually decline once they hit 30.


What's this shit myth with players needing wheelchairs as soon as they hit 30? Xavi was 30 when Pep came to Barca, so was Puyol; Henry was 31, Pirlo, Zanetti, Zlatan, Totti, Motta and the list goes on played well into their mid-30's at a WC level. An experienced team is the blueprint for success in almost any type of teambased, competitive sports.

No, Xavi was 28 when Pep became the coach. And Xavi is an absolute legendary midfielder, top 5 ever. Players like Totti and Zlatan are exceptions, not the rule. When did Iniesta start declining? Schweinsteiger? Sneijder, Cesc? Do you consider these players world class today?
