I get your point but it's not always like that . Rakitic had a bad start imo , lots of people doubting buying him but in the end I was amazed on how much he developed at Barca. Last season wasn't as good as his first but he looked exhausted at times and no wonder since he played like 70 games.


On the other hand I remember Song's debut. He debuted amazing against fucking R. Madrid and everyone was thinking he'll give Busquets some serious competition while in the end he ended up being a flop.

I feel like that is some kind of weird trend. Suarez on the RW, Roberto as RW, Montoya as RB, Bartra on a corner kick, Bojan and Jeffren for the manita... El Clasico is when good things happen when they don't make any sense...

I don't get this, I really don't.
I mean, all clubs make their fair share of bad transfers, and while Gomes could go down as one as well, your repeated classification of him as average just doesn't make sense, when clubs like Man Utd, us and Real, who were absolutely furious when he snubbed them, are ready to break the bank for him.

I've never rated him that highly myself - mostly because I haven't really noticed or followed him extensively - and you could argue that he's overrated, but saying he's average is silly.
