It would be hard for any sane sporting director to justify his purchase. It would be a gamble. Yeah it sounds harsh but he's been pretty much shit for us the last 2 seasons. Anything in the region of 10 million euros should be good enough.

honestly not sure what went wrong for this guy and i wonder what the fuck we saw in him. he joined us for what, 40mil? hardly a HUGE heavy burdening pricetag that would cause him this much pressure. i didn't follow him much when he was at Valencia and was indifferent when we signed him.

I think he'd do okay at a team like West ham, he needs to get some confidence back with a fresh start.

I'd expected him to improve a bit after the 16/17 season, but he seemed to have gotten worse last season with that confidence problem interview being the topping. He really needs to leave the club for his own sake and start over. Don't know what Enrique saw when we signed him.

Well at least with Turan he had shown a lot with Atletico and was a key player in their success under Simeone before becoming lazy at Barcelona. Gomes was decent with Valencia but the powers of Jorge Mendes got a lot of teams interested in him and we ended up falling for it.
