They do extensive tests nowadays like cardiac screening and other type of deep scanning to ensure the player doesn't have any problems which could limit him in the future.

Marco Silva is a great, promising coach; Everton are a good club and are signing some interesting players in Digne, Bernard & Mina. Gomes will have every chance to shine under his compatriot's guidance.
