The club he will play for in that season usually. This sould mean we get 2.5m + save Gomes' yearly salary. Good deal. If he plays well maybe we can get 25m next summer. EPL suits him because there is more space.

No option to buy and everything points to Everton paying his salary for the season.

I do however assume that since Everton are paying 2.5m for a season loan, that if he is a success over there, they will likely be open to buying him next summer.

Understandable but that sucks. That means we are still paying the salary for Arda, Douglas and soon to be Gomes etc. when we are getting nothing out of the loan deal as we don't expect them to get better to earn a spot back here. The 2.5m fee we get can't even cover Gomes' salary.

That's the price every club pays. Every club has players that collect salary for standing on the bench and jerking around. For Gomes it is a good deal. He has the chance to start fresh and impress in a big money league. Good for him and good for us if he does that.

we don't pay the salary for any of them as they are not in the club.

- Arda loan deal ends when his contract is up at Barca
- same with Douglas
- Gomes could prove himself there

But we don't pay salaries for any of them while they are at other clubs

He just told you we aren't paying his salary, neither for Arda (he blackmailed us for it to force his move when we wanted some cash) and unlikely we pay anything significant for Douglas
