[h=1]Iniesta: “We learn from these things”[/h] www.fcbarcelona.com

The midfielder has admitted that losing 3-0 at home and crashing out of Europe was a tough blow, but it “goes to show how difficult it is to win”
“I just hope we can win the league title as soon as possible so we can get back a feeling of happiness again” he said in a post-match interview on the ‘El Marcador’ show on Barça TV

Andrés Iniesta believes that the 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich was a lesson for the future. “We have to congratulate Bayern and learn from what happened, to make sure that things work out better for us in the future” he said on Wednesday night in an interview with ‘El Marcador’. He added that the result helps get some kind of perspective on the club’s success in recent years. “It goes to show how difficult it is to win” he said.

They were better

He also had no option but to concede that Bayern were the superior side. “Both the first and second legs were tough games. Because of the results and because of the feelings. Bayern are fair finalists. They are on great form right now and that showed on the pitch … We get the feeling that they were better than us. The truth hurts. It hurts to know that we simply weren’t up to the job. All of us are drained by what happened there and here, and once again we’ve narrowly missed out on the final.”

Back to the league

Iniesta also thanked the fans, who stuck behind the team despite the cruelty of the result, and sought to cheer them up by saying that “we have another game very soon. One thing doesn’t change the other. We are very close to winning the league. After such a tough blow, it’s sometimes hard to separate things. The other day I said that a season is not so bad if you win the league. I just hope we can win the title as soon as possible so we get back some feelings of happiness”.

I don't think I've ever seen Iniesta have two games as ineffective as the ones against Bayern. Even when other teams shut out Barca before, Iniesta always seemed to be a threat running at the opposition defence, The Bayern midfield didn't even let him get past them to have a go at the defence.

I'm not saying Song is not playing well but if our management were any good they would have bought Martinez even for double the money.

Pffffff :lol:

Last year 95% of the users said that he isn't worth that much , etc etc .

Honestly I would have laughed my ass off if we would have bought him. Not because he isn't world class but because we would have spent 40 mil on a DM rather than buying a god damn CB.

What do you mean with "Rather than buying a god damn CB" You make it sound like we bought a CB last year. Instead of Martinez we got Song who was supposed to cover the CB position as well as being backup for Busquets. So basically we paid 20 million for a sub for Busquets. And I haven't watched enough of Martinez to make a proper judgement but judging from what other people say, Martinez is both better than Song at DM and hell a lot of better as a CB.

Martinez is not CB,just get over it he may played some games there but still his main position is DM he will never be a clear CB and as it seems he wont play there again in Bayern,and besides that enough with the shit getting a DM and also play him as CB we just need a world class CB not a DM and play him there its just a stupid idea if you really think it..

I meant that we would have been willing to buy a 40 mil DM who would play at Cb instead of the thing we need most , an actual world class CB.

Some sloppy passes but created half a dozen great chances today, and that despite not being in top form!
