Andrés Iniesta

Amazed by how everytime they want to retire him, he brings a spectacular performance in key matches.

Career comparison have to be done when careers ends I believe, trophy wise Andres & Zizou have won everything.

Who wants to retire him besides some fickle fans on an internet forum?

Dare we say at this point, better than Zidane?

For me they're not even close. Iniesta is just so smooth, moves like a ghost. That man doesn't break under pressure, pressure breaks under him. His dribbles, oh my freaking my! His passing, understanding of everything and every player on the pitch, calculating his moves like Kasparov. And on top of all that, he just seems like the most down to earth guy. The Don!

Iniesta played El Clasico with a small injury in his right soleus muscle he picked up on international break.(MD)

Due to this injury, it is unclear whether he will play tomorrow against Roma. Luis Enrique, medical staff, & Iniesta himself will decide.

Then clearly he shouldn't play, why force him, why take a risk? This Roma game isn't the most important game either.

Absolutely better than Zidane. He's just unfortunate in the same era of Messi so received much less limelight than Zidane had.

My only dream is when comes the day Andres retires, in a farewell party in Camp Nou while he's just finished his farewell speech, Messi walks to him with a 2010 Ballon d'Or in his hands and says to the maestro, "The world owes you this and now I give it to you."

Do you think Andres will cry?

I never saw much of zidane except his world cup performances which were amazingly stellar so can't say who the better one was but zidane is really considered among the best.I wonder if after iniesta retires people will praise iniesta as much as zidane because tbh for a massive player like zidane I have never seen anyone call him overrated ever.

 That won't happen. But seriously, the day I see iniesta giving farewell is when i will probably shed a tear. For me the second best barca player I have ever seen. The likes of ronaldo etc don't come close to this guy.

Iniesta played on Saturday against Madrid with a small calf muscle injury he had picked up with ESP. Player decided to take the risk. [md]

Iniesta won't get the sort of individual praise that Zidane got because Zidane was the true superstar of both RM and obv France. But people will always be mad at Zidane for this, not his fault lol !
Suffices to say, in terms of elegance, and in a few other ways as well, these two wipe the floor with just about everyone else.

Iniesta will be remembered as a Legend .him and Xavi being the force behind Spain success (2 Euro & WC) and winning so much with Barca .that isn't easy for people to forget .probably both might be even considered as the greatest Spanish players ever

That said ,Zidane & Ronaldo was sort of the Messi&Cr7 in their eras but without the rivalry .Iniesta isn't gonna be considered the greatest of his generation as one could claim there are 2 players ahead of him .and that he wasn't even the best player in his club .
BS:I am talking about the public perspective .my opinion is different actually
