Some highlights from yesterday:

Iniesta can flow like no other player I've ever seen when he gets in his zone. So many goosebump-inducing moments, and I had forgotten half of them because I was too busy raging at Espanyol players and their fouls.

I love this guy, but it must be so unfair to oppositions lol

If you asked me 3-4 years ago I wouldn't have agreed, but now Iniesta to me has surpassed Zidane.

The truth of comparisons is every one has different criterions, adding more or less weight on many factors.

In terms of peak abilities they're both godlike players, on par with Messi R10 R9 Maradona cruyff etc
In terms of titles it's been Iniesta for years
In terms of consistency it's Iniesta, though he's not as consistent as Xavi or Busquets now.. Or messi the most consistent of all.

MOTM for me. I know Messi played amazing but Iniesta had like 5 key passes. Like Berkeley said, Lucho seems to be instructing them to create more on the passing front, controlling the tempo in the final third until it clearly opens up instead of rushing it to the front three.

The Don has looked fabulous this season though. I'll admit I was starting to think his best years were behind him but he is really rolling back the years this season and I'm really happy and proud of how he's been performing.

This was a big performance from everyone, exactly the kind of performance we can build on to catch some good form coming into the business end.

I'd agree. Outside of hitting a golazo to win a CL, Iniesta has done everything Zidane has and hasn't been besmirched like Zidane was with the headbutt tragedy. He also has had a lot more trophies but that's also bc Zidane bounced around clubs while Iniesta obviously has stuck it out here.

Iniesta in truth is a CAM, any other team he'd have freedom to sit and created in the middle, so it's best to compare him with players in that nature, not Messi, Cryuff, R9 and even Dinho, who was more a forward than an attacking midfielder. So with this in mind, I'd compare him more with players like Zidane, Platini, Maradona and maybe Cantona.

That PSG goal is simply unbelievable. Dribbles past 3 players like a true magician, then it's still 5 v 2 but him and Neymar just sent the entire defence back to Paris. Insane stuff.
