Maybe he didn't really like Xavi?
The atmosphere in the team seems very good right now, they do look like they're having fun. A year ago this time it was a bit tense.

Nah it was probably due to Luchos tactics and benching of Messi

:) Nah, I'm sure it's just that he feels less pressure, having won everything, and now asked to play a more supportive role. Pep's Barça was built around the midfielders control of the game and creativity. Now that pressure is off.

Pep might also have been a more constantly demanding coach to work with. Lucho seems more to give the players instructions, but then doesn't micro-manage.

Well, Pique said that he prefers tough matches rather than dominating wins. Maybe the fact that we have been grinding out wins has something to do with it. Having Neymar and Suarez must be nice too.

Also, not having the drama in the team of the past 4 seasons might play a role.
