For a five year period he was the best midfielder on the planet , since Guardiola left he declined every year. Time up he's a waste of a jersey now.

You are a waste for the fanbase. He's not capable of playing all games but he's still an added value to the squad. There is also no player which come near his vision and creativity on the midfield. There is even no other creative midfielder.

Agree with last two sentences , but that was in the past , the guy has been terrible anytime he gets a start now . Time to get rid and move on.

Nowadays we play better with Sergio Roberto than with Iniesta, at the moment is the better solution.
The problem is our management: i suppose that they believed that Iniesta would last forever, otherwise I can not explain why they never looked for another midfielder, young and talented, who could step by step cover the role of Iniesta.
A good management must planning the future cleverly, be visionary and in our case (soccer), they must have fantastic talent scouts. Iniesta will be 34 in few months...
we had to think at his remplacement at least 3 years ago...maybe go for Isco or Verratti.

He's so creative that Messi has to drop into midfield to get the ball and create anything.

Iniesta would be a good squad player but that means a big drop in salary. We need a world class replacement to get the midfield back on track.

He is a club legend and nowhere near a waste. Yes, he is declining, he gets older and I guess it is not easy for both, him and the fans to actually accept that.
However, he can still add value with his experience and technique.

He is revealing quite something in the El País interview. It would be such a hard blow if Iniesta left because the renewal talks didn't go well... Apparently the coach wants him to stay...

He deserves proper farewell as Xavi had. Barça needs to treat him like that. It is a message to other players. We honour what you do or we treat you like used goods. That makes a difference when people decide to come or not.

He can get a good farewell at the end of the season and a world class replacement is needed. We still haven't replaced Xavi and obviously Neymar yet.

As I already said some time ago I think he'll take next season to see what role Valverde will have for him and if he'll still feel as an important player (that doesn't mean he has to be unquestionable starter because he's probably aware himself he can't really play 90 minutes in every game anymore) he'll renew his contract and otherwise he'll leave. But whatever he'll decide to do we should accept and respect his decision.
