I think it should be his last season with Coutinho signed for next year as a replacement. He's slowing down a lot and we need to start addressing the age of the squad properly.
I'd like to see him go to Serie A where the league is slower and he can still affect games.

This guy deserves a little more respect than some people around here are giving him. Starter or not he is one of the best midfielders of all time so stop trolling us with this #Outiniesta shit.
He is one of the biggest legends of FC Barca and one of the most inteligent players out there so he for sure won't force playing every single game. I am also quite sure that with the right system he can still be more than useful for us this season.

Maybe he won't, but he could go to Italy and dominate in that league for another 4 or 5 years. He's starting to labour at Barca which is a shame to see. I'd rather he left on a high.
Xavi could have gone to Italy too and been great for a few years but went to Qatar.

I m sure he s got more fuel in his tank if the coach can use him properly.
To me loyalty to a legendary player goes without saying and i can t even understand why would someone
sell or let go such a player.

It's not his fault that he has been declining for some years now. It's the board's fault that hasn't been able to find a proper replacement for at least 2 seasons now, instead they flooded the midfield with mediocre players that they can't even sell.
I'm sure Iniesta would be content to come from the bench or just have a rotation role.

He's 33, never had pace to begin with and quite frankly has looked dodgy for a good four or five years now, so I don't know why people are putting it down to age. He just seems extremely lazy, and a bit clueless without Xavi taking the initiative.
Up until about 2012 to 2013 he was immense, since then he just walks through games, having the odd moment of reminding us of the player he used to be (like against Madrid a couple years ago).
Absolute travesty he wasn't replaced with Isco when the chance was there.

Some people here seem to have goldfish memory. Iniesta never had pace? I recommend you to watch some youtube video from prime Iniesta. Same applies to Xavi, i've read multiple times that he was slow as a turtle which is not true at all.
One of my all time favorites, but when you respect someone too much to the point that you become bias and your decisions hinder the team, then there is an issue. He should not be a starter anymore, period.

He put in an unconvincing display because he played 160 minutes for Spain last week. He needs to be given proper rest and play once a week if possible.
