Do you really want to watch a Barca game where we are looking for a nil all draw. This is Barca not Chelsea or juventus. Too risky if they scored a late one. Always go looking for goals and Roberto should play in midfield and semedo right back if iniesta doesn't make it
If only Semedo weren't injured.

Yes, we should have an attacking mindset, and I will be surprised if we don't have that - also in the starting-11. But it is tricky with both Semedo and Iniesta out.
I'm sure Iniesta would contribute in attack if he could start, and that Semedo+Roberto+Dembele would play if Semedo was ready. Valverde needs to come up with other attacking solutions, although a think a straight 4-3-3 with Raktic and Gomes would be too weak, but maybe we have no other choice?

Chelsea are vulnerable right now, especially in defence with Christensen a bit shaken right now - they are playing bad and with no motivation (the latter will change against us).
So we should go after the kill - a lot of Chelsea-players will be frustrated as
1) They don't play CL every year, so there is no coolness and decisiveness about them
2) Who knows if they will play CL next year because of there bad PL-spell right now
3) This is the biggest Chelsea can hope for this seasono (FA-cup wouldn't save them).

All that taken into account: We should play an attacking team and go for the early goal to settle this, because then Chelsea would play right into our hands with desperate attacks or a frustration-red-card or the likes.

Barcelona's case, the best defending is to keep the ball and possession. We can't let them have the ball and attack us, because Hazard/William would just blow past our turtle midfield. (especially counter attack)

We don't have to score vs Chelsea, which is very good news for us.

i hope Iniesta is fit to face chelsea and we should only play him in the champion league since we are 8 points ahead of athletic i don't see us dropping enough points in order for them to win the league so we have already won the la liga so there is no need to risk him getting tired or injured again when he comes back from injury by playing him in la liga. we need him in the cl we won't win cl with Paulinho Busquest Raki and Vidal midfield. Busquest is the only good player in this midfiled.

Didn't know that till now. Would have known if he was a starter but don't pay as much attention to injured subs. He would have been great to have against Chelsea as he is very solid defensively

I personally believe he'd start if it wasn't for his injury. Gomes/Paulinho Rakitić Busquets Roberto would be fine if Iniesta can't play.

Iniesta's recovery is faster than expected. The player and the club are optimistic about the possibility of returning from injury before the CL clash against Chelsea. [AS]

EV should have at least taken him out immediately but instead he kept him on the pitch for a good while after his injury occured like overplaying him wasn't sufficiently stupid

It's easy to blame EV for keeping him on the field for 10 more minutes but Iniesta is an experienced player with known history of muscle injuries so he can probably recognize extent/seriousness with these type of injuries (unlike someone like Dembele who was never injured before in his career). I don't think Iniesta felt it was that bad if he was trying to continue playing so it's quite possible he'll really be back sooner than expected.

Let's not pretend Valverde doesn't have a track-record of overplaying and risking key players.

Pique, Alba, Iniesta just in last games were risked or overplayed.
One could make a point of Busi, Rakitic and Umtiti in particular as well.

Unfortunately some of the.likely replacement haven't helped their or ev's cause
