I known, i was just sarcastic... Well, i have to recognize that Lyon has an impressive academy : Vieira, Rémy, Govou, Benzema, Ben Arfa, Martial, Fekir, Lacazette, Grenier, Lopes ...

Oui, I think France is only next to Spain and Germany in terms of producing some of the best youth talent....

3 goals in 3 games is alright so far, but not yet justifyng a (probably) 70m fee in total. That needs some time and more games.
For now he has managed to rise to the expactations, if he gets 15-20 league goals and several CL goals this season I'd consider this as a massive success for him at that age.

You basically need 4/5 years to see if he justified the fee. But its always dumb to spend so much on a prospect.
There is always a bigger chance of him turning into Denilson than becoming worldclass.

I was thinking he's lucky to have any goals so far. More luck than skill for his solo goal against Liverpool, Mata was offside for Southampton first and then capitalised on a poor mistake for the second. But my opinion is that from here on in all transfer fees so be ignored by fans. It has absolutely no bearing on us what teams pay for a player so if Martial was free or cost a £100 million we really should just focus on how he performs on the pitch.

Yeah it's true that we focus too much on transfer fees. They don't mean shit to clubs like Man. Utd, Barca, Real. It's just ridiculous that some unknown 19 yo costed the same amount like C. Ronaldo who was a Ballon D'Or winner at the time and had a CL did. Let's be honest, most of us have known Martial from either FIFA career mode or because you're french.

Ronaldo costed 10 mio more, and more importantly that was in 2009. Transfer fees have skyrocketed since then. We have to account for that as well.

And most people who know about French football know most of the young and upcoming talents over there. France is having a potential golden generation right now, if they all can reach their potential. Pogba, Griezmann, Laporte, Varane, Lacazette, Fekir, Kurzawa, Zouma, Umtiti,, Martial and Coman are some of the more famous ones.

Yeah, French football could easily be the next Spain/Germany and dominate for a couple of national tournaments.

Pogba, Griezmann, Laporte, Varane, Lacazette, Fekir, Kurzawa, Zouma, Umtiti, Martial and Coman that a crazy amount of potential world class players.

Believe me... If it gets to 70M, with him playing at least a bit part role in it, it definitely means he has met his expectations! Sooner, the better though

LOL, Madrid were unable to get De Gea who wanted desperately out and had one year on his contract. United don't need money they won't sell him.

If we really wanted De Gea we could have bought him on the first day of transfer window for 40-50 M.
