Antoine Griezmann

A much needed signing.

Why? We have Messi, Suarez, Coutinho, and Dembele all play up front. We need to replace Iniesta and another WC CM. Obviously, Coutinho best position is part of a front three although he played behind the strikers role for few months when Salah joined Liverpool.

A much-needed signing would be a controller and an AM.

yes unfortunately Dembélé can be it will be loaned for 1 year! We will see .

What will we gain if we loan him for a year??...He doesn't need to prove his quality, its there. We all know he has that talent. The thing that most of us are doubtful about, is his compatibility with our system, which can only be tested if he plays regularly. Plus, its better to try to integrate him with Griez now, than one season later. Because even if he does well on loan, its of no use if we have to waste one more year (plus the loan year itself) to integrate him.

Well his problem is Valverde who is probably sacked by the time he comes back from the loan :D

But yeah a loan doesn't make any sense and the whole world would make fun of us. For a good reason.

Suarez is a useless CL player and he's only going to get worse.

Messi, Griezmann and Dembele should be our starting attack next season.

Our attack is going to be Messi, Griezmann and Suarez. Dembele might not even be at Barcelona next season.

Coutinho and Arthur. Alena also. There´s 3.

Did EV resign or is he going to? cuz he is our coach next season. Any slight indication from him this season that he is the manager we can trust to play youngsters? Arthur is just 21 years old, and Alena is 20, there is no way he will play them.

It will be the same dysfunctional slow midfield of Raki, Paulinho, and Gomes.

First I don't think Suarez is useless. Second, knowing EV, he will play Suarez, Messi, and Griezmann. Dembele will be benched and he won't develop. We shouldn't buy Griezmann unless we are planning to sell Suarez, but this won't happen. Dembele will take the hit because of this signing, either we are going ship him somewhere, or he will warm the bench.

I said Suarez was useless in the CL, which he has been for 3 years now. Still useful in the league, but he's been showing signs of diminishing in that too. Not to mention he's going to be 32 early into next season. Messi will also need to be rested more.

Dembele shouldn't be loaned or sold because he should be getting plenty of minutes due to reasons mentioned above.

I'm not trying to justify Valverde and his moronic decisions, but this is what should happen. If Valverde hasn't learned that Messi and Suarez will need more rest next season, then it should be him that leaves, not Dembele.

Well, Messi wants to play a game every week and I don't think Valverde can really change his mind about it.

Meanwhile, Cristiano hasn't played CdR since 2015 and even skips matches against bottom/midtable fodders for UCL KO-stage in recent seasons.

A strategy that has paid off big time for Real Madrid given to their success in UCL.

this isn't aimed at you or anything just this quote had me thinking.

the whole 'rest Messi more' is getting tiresome. look, Ronaldo doesn't play as many games as Leo and nobody gives a shit because actually watching Ronaldo play is dull and boring, other than his overhead kick vs Juve, most of the time hes either whining at the ref, crying about non-existent penalties and scoring tap ins. Messi brings magic, he can do what no other can and even when Barca lose, watching Messi is a joy to behold. I have friends here in the UK who go to watch Barca just to get a glimpse at the GOAT, just to say they saw him in the flesh.

fuck Ronaldo, fuck the ballon d'or, fuck this gay ass 'stats' bullshit, fuck winning ugly at all costs. I want to actually enjoy Messi's twilight years instead of saving him for a competition as random as the CL, could that hurt his legacy? maybe but i think people are losing track of what football is all about - the beautiful game.

I get what you're saying, but there is no point for Messi to play in the CdR anymore until the semi-final. The team should be able to make it there without him. @Givenchy

Someone need to sit Messi's ass down and tell him they're doing him a favor by benching him for those games + the ones sandwiched between the CL KO ones.
