Thiago but no Eriksen for me. Wonderful player as he is I don’t think he is a realistic target and I don’t think he’d fit in at Barça (but this is just a hunch). I’d have a look at Dahoud because he fits the profile and is a dynamic enough CM to contribute more in an attacking sense.

I’d go with the de Jong signing too and loan him back as has been discussed.

Majority of players Barca will be after are not there anyway.

In a way it is a risk signing them before WC. If they get injured.

He would be perfect for Barca, but I will not be sad if he stays in Atleti. If Barca can't get him, the best scenario is if he stays and Atleti keep being competitive. Atleti with Griezmann and some good transfers could again be one of the favorites to win the CL next season. With a strong Atleti and Real, Barca will also need to get stronger, this will be good for Spanish clubs in the long run.

fair point, City still scrambling around with Jorginho etc but it can also be risky not buying before, if our target explodes during the WC fees could get ridiculous again. i just hope the board do actually have a plan for the Griezmann outcome.

obviously were. Without selling Griezmann was like 80% from our budget with the 100M release clause plus taxes.

Now we can move onto the midfield targets when Griezmann finally announces. Personally think we should go for Thiago and a speedy winger but just my opinion.

I would like to sign him but if it doesn't happen it's not the end of the world. Focus on midfield, get a CB and maybe a winger.
