That's the worry. Griezmann technical abilities, passing quality and game vision are a pretty good match with Barcelona. They way he moves on the field... not so much. Griezmann likes to cut back inside, I don't know if he's the best fit with Messi.

Then again, great players tend to match and adapt pretty well so it could work. Not every squad needs a pure 9.

It's Gerard Romero but then again this is Valverde who has shown he doesn't know what he's doing and thinks having Griezmann as a false winger is somehow going to work. You don't buy Griezmann to play him as a fucking winger.

His idea again is to have such a narrow front three that the fullbacks will take care of the width! yet teams will park someone out wide and press our Fullbacks to keep them from being moved forward and we will be stuck with a narrow team again.

Griezmann has strengths but he is no Henry nor a Villa that they can actually work as false wide players if needed. Not only that he will be shoved out on the left where he's not anywhere near as strong as he is on the right.

We are just wasting 120 Million down the drain and playing him in a role that isn't anywhere near his strengths.
