Not sure in which universe a starting lineup composed of a 33 year old Suárez that offers little defensively and in terms of pressing nowadays, a 32 year old Messi who is even worse on that front, 27 year old (28 year old at the time of the CL knockout stage next year) Neymar of all players and a 28 year old Griezmann (29 years old next March) will work. Zero perspective in that frontline as well given that Suárez and Messi are only going to decline (Suárez is already done IMO) and Neymar and Griezmann are not going to be better either. How long will the last 2 last on the needed and desired level? 2 season? 3 at most? In regards to Neymar that is a huge question mark even.

well there's no guarantees that if you buy young good players , that they will stay here for the future . They could just leave after 2-3 years for the money just like Neyboy did or simply not work , like coutinho.

I still dont understand why some of us dont want Neymar back but will gladly take Griezmann. At least Neymar had theexcuse of stepping out if Messi's shadow, Griezmann straight up rejected us when we went for him last summer

 That is some pathetic excuse. Neymar betrayed us for money, nothing else. Griezmann stayed because he loves Simeone and to test the super-duo Griez-Costa, but found out that he had to do everything himself. What Neymar did was muuuch worse, and now he is begging to come back, for egoistic purposes - getting out of Mbappes shadow + contesting for CL.

Griezmann can be fanfavourite if he bags those goals and assist we know he can. There is a way higher chance that Griezmann will be world class for us than of him being a flop, imo.

Coutinho was always an overrated fraud of a player if you ask me. Warned against his signing in May 2017 and openly wrote on this forum that he would turn into a flop, even more so as he was branded as the "ideal replacement" of Don Andrés.

Griezmann and Neymar are not comparable with Coutinho. They are way, way, way better players and in the top 5 (surely top 6) of the best offensive players out there.

The problem is that Suárez (done on this level) is going nowhere and Messi is Messi. I cannot imagine Valverde benching Suárez as often as he should be benched if both Griezmann and Neymar arrive.

One of either Griezmann and Neymar is more than enough. No point whatsoever in buying Neymar. Rather spend that money on strengthening the team.

We are doomed for failure next season with that setup and Malmierda at the helm. Even the likes of Pep and Klopp would struggle with succeeding with such an unbalanced squad.

lol comparing what Neymar, who sued the club and left in a disgraceful way, to what Griezmann did, which was just recording a documentary in which our very own Pique was also apart of, is hilarious. yeah Griezmann can be annoying but he didnt disrespect Barca like Neymar did. The 'excuse' that Neymar had was pathetic and very much a lie, lets be real.

Different players, different team....Messi/Suarez >>James/Benzema

I would prefer to have Suarez/Messi duo in the middle, assuming Suarez will be a starter. Those 2 together on the same area are capable of defensive output of 1 regular hard working player.
If there has to be a defensive "hole" let it be on the most remote part of the pitch. Easier to cover, than 2 holes leaking all over the place.

Griezmann/Dembele have speed, technique and they should be working in defense + Dembele plays better on the right side. Also, Valverde likes 4-4-2.

Arthur/De jong are faster than Busi/Rakitic, they can control and create and with Messi positioned in the middle he doesn t leave right side empty.

Well, I think Dembele can play just fine on the left, if he gets used to it. All in all I would rather hope for 3-man midfield and a benched Suarez, than a 4-man attack with Griezmann and Dembele as wings. I hope as well as you do, that Dembele will contribute in defence consistently next season, because having walking Messi is "holes" enough. I'm sure Griezmann will, though.

Messi, Griezmann and then Dembele are too good to bench, so the system must be fitted to them. De Jong and Arthur are ready to boss midfield, but with a 3rd guy there like Vidal or Busquets, they would be better off, I think.

Let us not kid ourselves.

With Malmierda at the helm Suárez is untouchable. So provided that Neymar will somehow not be bought (I am still convinced that we will end up signing him) our attack will be the same old attack with Griezmann replacing Coutinho on the "left", Suárez playing upfront and Messi doing what he wants to tactically and roaming the pitch. Dembélé has no future at this club with this board in power or Malmierda at the helm.

just need Suarez to get an injury somehow.
seriously though, I'm sick and tired of how Barca has become 'club de amigos'. all these players that shouldn't still be here like Suarez, Rakitic, Busquets, Roberto would've all been gone if we just had a competent board and manager.

I agree with you on all points, but i ve tried to be realistic. We have Valverde, which means there s not a big chance that Suarez will be benched. In any case, i would prefer to see Messi in the middle, since he gravitates there anyhow and it leaves the wings
for running, fast players, which also involves fb-s.
