It's really the only alternative I see if Griezmann won't be a winger. Griezmann can't play 9 so he has to be behind Messi.

Maybe not very realistic but if he wants Frenkie as DM he could convert Griezmann into an offensive CM. Would basically be a 4-2-3-1 anyway.

I’d like to see him and Messi be rotated with each other. They have a similar profile and Messi needs to take a step back and start resting at this point. In easier games, Griezmann starts and Messi comes off the bench. Vice-versa in tougher games.

I don’t like the idea of both of them on the pitch together at all.

Don’t see Messi accepting this kind of setup though.
