We naturally had more success with the dutch than with the french. 3 players top of my head were decent for Barca- Abidal, Giuly and Henry. The rest, pure garbage.

Yes, we tend to have success with world class Dutch players. And we tend to have less success with shit French players. They key link isn't their nationality, but their quality and how they fit in the team instead lol.

Right now there's only standout player in the Dutch National Team, and that's De Jong. Everyone else is either mediocre or relegation/championship level. I have no idea why you'd want to associate with the current Netherlands NT. lmao

Griezmann was considered world class before joining Barca. Umtiti was the next Baresi according to some(he was promising before the injury though). Dembele was always shit, but that it s another discussion. Regarding the dutch players, i think Wijnaldum and De Ligt would add to this Barca team. Yes, the dutch are mediocre comparing to their lofty standards they had before, but i think their problem was the coach at the Euros. De Boer is awful. And let's not forget they were without the best defender in the world, Van Dijk.

Laporta and Koeman have met last week. They discussed about the possible transfer of Griezmann. Koeman considers him expendable and the club needs money.

Time to go...

It?s all well and good about selling him, but Griezmann won?t want to leave due to him being on 800k a week; he knows he won?t even get half of that if he goes elsewhere. Besides, who in their right mind would want a 30-year-old who is on 800k a week? We?d probably ask for a lot in any case. Not to mention, it?s not like he?s been that great here or in the Euros.

Griezmann: "I have always been against all forms of discrimination. Over the past few days, some people have thought I am not the person who they know. I firmly deny the accusations leveled against me & I apologize if I have offended my Japanese friends." [@AntoGriezmann]

"sorry that you felt offended, bro."

KDB is on 20M salary in pounds, that is around 23M euros.
Griezmann is on higher wage most likely, I am skeptical about the 49M figure (those salaries in Barca are private information that very few people knows, media has wrongly speculated Messi wage's for few years till it was leaked and this was a serious situation for the club) nut tbf Bartou has done worse.
I think Griezmann has something to prove tbh, if he decided to leave I doubt he will be demanding such figure and will be more accepting of more normal salary (around KDB number). NVM we will be asking for minimal fee. That alone make it far easier to offer players a higher salary (like what happens with free agents)
Biggest question is whether City actually wants him or not. This could be bs rumor.

Why should he accept a normal salary ? A normal Salary of De bruyne is half of that of Griezmann. Why should he give up 50% of his salary ?

Why would Pep out of all managers go after Griezmann? He is running a lot and a team player, I give him that. Other than that he has proven that he doesn't really fit into the Ajax/Barca-system since there is no clear position for him. Bullshit rumour imo.

If they don't get Kane, they'll go all-in after Haaland next summer. It's more likely they'll sign Leo on a free than going after Griezmann imo.

Seems too easy to consider City & their limitless state funds but it does tick a box for them precisely because he's a good teammate and works for the team - they are traits that Pep values above all else, outside of talent. Plus, he is a goalscorer which City currently lack

First two- yes. But he ain't a goal scorer.
