Antoine Griezmann

His value is easily 200+ mil now. We are talking about a guy who would have won the ballon d’or had Atletico/France won.
We wont be able to get a worldclass striker in a few years under 200 mil that is ready right away. Getting him now, rotating for a year. After which Suarez would start of the bench more often most likely it would mean we are already set.

There’s no one as good as him on the market for 100m

Anyone who doesn’t rate him must not watch him enough or remember the penalty miss in the CL final.

The thing is how can we afford him? I have a feeling that even this transfer of coutinho will bring us in a bad situation.

Griezmann. Release clause 100M. 26 years. Can also play is CF if we want him to.
Pretty sure he will start scoring more, if he got the chances created in Barca rather than the few he gets in Atletico.

Icardi is levels below Griezmann, imo - he has never played a single CL-game - let that sink in!

Ronaldo has 15 in 36 games playing for the Galaticos. So what?

That ain't happening. Problem is that his current wife Wanda Nara is Maxi's ex wife. Maxi Lopez is a very good friend of Messi and Leo was against Icardi playing for Argentina, you can only imagine his opinion if Icardi joins Barca. BTW wasn't he in Barca years ago as youngster? If I had to chose between Griezmann and Icardi, I'd take the frenchman anyday.

BS. Messi does not care about those things.

Counting the Coutinho deal we spent around the 100mil net. Our financial situation should be enough to have another 100mil for the next summer 2018. Even if its a bit short we would be selling some players.

But yeah everyone says we a broke.

I like him a lot, but imo the only possibility to fit him in is to sacrifice suarez.
Without Suarez I have a feeling that our attackers are too weak, messi, ous, cou and griez are all more or less small players without muscles.

Suarez can bully off defenders and create space. The problem is that Suarez isnt as good as when he arrived, but imo there is still no better no9 than him.

That's because people think only with their eyes, and as such they're easy to fool.

The wage and amortisation costs as a percentage of income has been overblown... It's due to renewal bonuses for Suarez, Messi, Neymar (disputed at this stage but still listed as a contingency). It will even out in the subsequent year and the club is finally making plans to get rid of the dead wood.

We keep being told that we can always dip into next years transfer fund so if he's available now we shouldn't mess about if so many others are after him .

Spanish TV programme El Larguero on Cadena SER (vis AS ) has revealed that Barcelona are still very much in for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

While the signing of Philippe Coutinho put a temporary dampner on hopes of signing the French striker because of FFP, the report states that Barca will match the €100m buyout clause and offer a package to put Griezmann on a pay structure similar to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, the club's top earners.

Don't think we are even close to breaking FFP. The wages are a problem tho.

the only way we get Griezmann in Jan is if it becomes known Madrid are interested in paying his release clause in the summer, then Atleti would probably sell to us right now for 100m.
