I guess you must mean v Real Madrid and Sevilla, when they tried a 3-5-2, and where he was the first sub in both games, arriving already after 45 vs Real Madrid (not often Koeman makes a switch so early)
He was apparently also on the bench in the first clasico, benched by Coutinho, but this was at the start of the season...
He started almost every game, Koeman had almost unlimited faith in him and I think it will be the same this season.
