Football is more about systems and efficiency now. The game has evolved. Everything evolves with time.

If you're showboating like Anthony you're trying to humiliate your opponents and get under their skin. Hence, people will kick you and try to hurt you. Showboating is dumb because you are literally inviting injuries for yourself.

I don't even see the entertainment factor in that move tbh. But there are effective ways to do it. St. Maximan does it without inviting unnecessary hard tackles from opponents. It seems to me that Anthony is trying a little too hard. "Oh look at me. I'm Brazilian and I'll be the next Dinho".....CR7 did a lot of showboating too. But he's strong enough to ride challenges and a physical freak who can take care of himself. Players like Neymar and Anthony have zero body strength and get harmed by angry opponents.

Ever watched Zidane? He got under opponents' skin but he was a unit physically and had a nasty streak so no one could physically shut him down or kick him out of games.

Clearly, Anthony's manager didn't like it and subbed him off BTW so......

It's a high risk high reward kinda thing. If it comes off, fans will love it and the clips will be hailed on Social Media. If it doesn't you'll get trolled. Simple as that.

That's just a lie. Ten Hag was planning to sub him off at halftime before the game and told as such in the press conference after it. He had no problem with the skill

Footballs got so boring that were killing someone for providing a little entertainment.

Then someone else does a tactical foul and is praised for breaking a dangerous attack by media, fans and coaches.

Bizarro land I tell ya.

Despite ETH relative success so far United's still pretty boring to watch. Watching Barca these days is like watching the clock to pass the time.

PSG's pretty fun to watch even though they're a little forward heavy especially when Verratti's not playing.

Never judge a player on his first season to be fair, but I wasn't a fan of his Ajax days either. Definitely prefer Raphina, who isn't great himself.

I've seen enough and I think many United fans have also. This guy just isn't it, there is nothing there to say "well, 100mil was steep but he has the potential" His stats at Ajax just back this up even more and I don't think he's registered a single assist thus far at United, ten Hag lost the plot on this transfer.

Many similarities to Raphinha but at least Raph is unpredictable.. Antony picks the ball up, rolls his foot on it and then passes back, fullbacks have totally figured him out.

Manchester United -> Juventus or Inter Milan -> Galatasaray

Will happen within the next 5 years.

This guy is so bad man. Basically a Brazilian Ferran Torres with useless samba football tricks.

Yeah United fans are basically saying the same things we say about ferran. Winger with no outstanding trait that is afraid to take on their man even in a 1 v 1. Can?t even say he has potential either because that would mean he has a raw trait that just needs polishing, from the looks of it he has none.

Representatives of Gabriela Cavallin, Antony's ex-partner, are preparing a complaint against Antony for domestic violence. A 70-page document from Gabriela's representatives gathers evidence of abusive behavior and aggression carried out by Antony. According to lawyer Vanessa Souza, Antony could answer for three different crimes in England.

This news has been going about for a while as per the posts x3 back.

Man Utd can fair pick them.. but they didnt really care about Ronaldos history either when thought he would bring it on the pitch.
