Arda deserves another season with us.

There's no reason at all for why he "deserves" anything. We're the ones who broke the bank on him, and we're the ones who have been disappointed. Once again, if the argument for keeping him is morality based, chances are he needs to go.

Not sure what you meant by morality, but Arda only played a little more than half of a season and it is simply too short of a time to say Nay to a player. He deserves chances to show whether he does cut it or not next season.

what irritated me most about him was the early yellow cards he used to take whenever Lucho put him as a starter .. it's like him inviting the coach to sub him off early , ridiculous act of unintelligence. That sure as hell didn't help him adapting to the system.

Most YCs given to him were harsh to say the least, given mostly due to reputation rather than actual YC offense. Other than this, it would send a horrible message to any potential future transfers if we offload Arda who was with us officially for half a season. Its illogical on all counts

Signing Arda came out of no where and more to do with election stunt by Barto to win more votes. I was excited by the signing but he didn't give us anything to look forward, not a single performance.

We could've spend that money on players that we really need.

Remember,he wasn't even eligible for pre-season .I can understand the point made about him not playing much

He doesn't fit anywhere, that's the bottom line. He played wide in Atlético but here we play with wing-forwards who are supposed to be scorers. He isn't one nor does he have speed to play there.

For central midfield position he showed he doesn't have tactical awareness. He stood clueless many times and looked confused re. his spot and then runs 40 meters diagonally to return to his place.

No stamina to play Rakitic's spot nor good enough to replace Iniesta.


Beard fascination and fans excitement of new signing evaporated quickly. What remained is very disappointing.

With that logic you could say any player has gone 3-4 months between seasons "Without playing" if there isn't a summer tournament for their country that year, if they even play for their country.

Arda waited from late August/September to January to play. Any months added onto that aren't any different than how long Iniesta or Rakitic had to wait really. Three preseason games given primarily to youngsters so they could lose hardly count as playing, either.

And Bojan already spelled it out, but he doesn't fit in anywhere. He lacks tactical awareness and general effort, does not play a position we actually use, and would have been let go for good behavior if he was from the B team by now.

We are not using him correclty .. use him upfront to rest MSN whenever needed he'll do much better than in midfield. And save the money of buying a new striker who will never play .. the game against Belbao away in the copa we played him as a right winger and he did ok. Lucho needs to let it go .. give the guy some freedom upfront , insert him as a 4th wide midfielder and we'll have a great squadie.

He's not the type of winger we use or need. Rafinha and Denis and even Munir are much better options for our system. No point shoehorning into a position he won't even be able to help us in.

Granted, that's everywhere, but that's part of why I think he should leave.

he's not gonna leave, only a mad person would leave after securing a nice contract at his age.. there are players better than him but at least some damage control .. he's less sloppy upront than in midfield . there he can dare to create without worrying much about screwing up a pass or a strike.

We should be hoping that he don't leave and adapts to our system , Iniesta not getting any younger means less minutes , who else do we have remotely close to his quality , please don't say Denis or Rafinha , so we need him to adapt and adapt quick if we had other options i'm sure Lucho wouldn't be hanging on to him and why would he go to China when some of top EPL team's got all exited since they hear that he's not happy at Barca , we see what he can do next season than we decide , don't get on a bandwagon with Arda hater's.

Very poor player - very naive and rash for Barcelona to first sign him for so much money and secondly - giving him a 5 year contract. He will damage the harmony of the team next year.

Barcelona wont be able to get rid of him either. He is an Alpha male Turk - he will try and see out the remainder of his 4 year contract - unless he is forcibly removed.

Barcelona really self-sabotaged with this player..

But Arda is 29 himself and in a far worse physical shape than Iniesta lol
