he is better on the left wing and today he sometimes crossed to the left side. he was not among the worst players today in barca but not so good also. the fact is whole team block defence was really hard to open for all the team players including messi.

well then why play him of a sudden at the right wing where he sucked. Rafinha have played a morale boosting game just last week end and unlike Turan, he's proven he can play as a left winger.

not that .. put performances aside .. Messi was injured we needed to insert someone who fits the space Messi occupied .. Rafinha ( turned out Lucho didn't even give hom a call) is a proven Right winger .. Arda played some decent football only as a left winger and sucked everywhere else.

Well it was either Denis or Arda. Arda played pretty well at rw against Alaves, so in my book it was fine getting him on. But really anyone is going to look bad coming on for Messi, especially when the entire team isn't playing up to par.

Rafinha has always been a natural RW for us while Arda has shown himself to only be good from the LW. Makes little sense why we'd use Arda on the RW in this situation.

Do you mean Denis? Rafinha wasn't on the bench if I'm not mistaken. Arda played pretty well against Alavez and has experience with Atletico, I can see an argument for both. But I don't think either Denis or Rafinha would've made a difference, when both Neymar and Suarez didn't play well.

Actually I don't think Arda was that bad, he started well in my opinion but faded quickly... On top of that our team flow was lacking today, so I don't know if Rafinha or Denis could have done much better...

Arda has experience with Atletico, but not against them. He's never going to be the impact player he was brought on to be. Let him have the minnows until we finally ship him on.

I'm certainly not against giving Lucho scorn when he deserves it, which is pretty damn often.

I don't think he was particularly bad either, he was just the wrong player for the wrong situation. Whether or not Rafinha or Denis would have done better is just a giant question mark.
