The list for the October WCQ is out!

Not too many surprises, but there's definitely some names that I woud like to take out and replaced by the following:
- Valentin Barco
- Facundo Medina
- Marcos Senesi
- Leo Balerdi
- Alan Varela
- Matias Soule

There are some very new folks like Pellegrino, but they'll most likely train with the U-23 team. Overall, can't complain too much.

Soule seemed exciting the few times I've caught a glimpse of him. He's a left-footed RW though. Argentina have Di Maria, Messi, Dybala and Nico Gonzalez who operate in the same space. Definitely one for the future however.

International Football is easier and slower than club Football. That's not coping. Simply because better managers and squads well drilled and training all year round.

It's tougher to get yourself up for a CL final game than a WC in terms of technique and merit. WC is higher pressure and bigger stage but substantially lower quality of Football.

Don't be surprised if Messi flops in the CL knockouts again despite trying to have another last shot at it. It's not the same as WC. Teams like Bayern you don't face in international Football.

NTs don't play or train together very often. That's why they can look disjointed but after a month's preparation they looked efficient. Your argument which is pathetic however means all teams are playing from the same baseline of just one month's effective collected practice so it doesn't make the job easier for international teams. Nor is it slower either. It's often the same pace aside from sides that bunker. And the stakes are a lot higher even in the early group game. So patience is key.

Tougher to get up for a CL final than a WC in terms of technique and merit. Do the players suddenly change because they are playing in a different tournament. No they do not. Argentina would wipe the floor with any club side given how they play. The teams you see now in the CL are only possible in recent years because the super greedy teams have acquired all star squads. You cannot do that obviously in the international game. Anyway the pressure was immense on the players and they came through with flying colours.

Your sad bitterness is just that. As with the conspiracy nuts. Enjoy it . Meanwhile everyone else that is sane is acknowledging the triumph of the greatest of all time and a magnificent side.

Like I said yesterday, overstatement will be the habitus of this forum going forward (if it weren't already)

1) You can't compare NT level, which is low stakes, to club level football

2) Same guys keep talking about this Argentina NT as if being some super-team...
No, they pay meh football, and being fast on a counter has nothing to do with breaking buses via short passing, which is the task Barca has to face at club football
Still a far cry from great NTs like Spain 2010 or Germany 2014, despite being more consistent than all other NTs of this WC
Low stakes ? Winning the World Cup. Haha. This Argentina team has been superb for the last two years and with all the talent coming through, the brains trust and Scaloni only going to improve.

You know nothing about football. Meh football. Lol. Germany 2014 a great team. Lol. Thank Higuain, Palacio. This side can short pass if needed very effectively. And that counter goal. A masterpiece which is one of the finest of all WC goals. Perfect weight on each pass and a perfect finish from one of the all time greats in Angelito.

You can go and cry along with all the other haters, Cristina fans and conspiracy nuts.
