Argentina

If Argentina wins vs Uruguay and vs Brazil in March and Bolivia doesn't win all their games in March, then Argentina qualifies automatically to the World Cup 2026.

Hopefully this scenario happens in March so that it gives Scaloni more reason to try out new players for the June and September Qualifiers and Argentina players have more time to rest and to prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup thus preventing burn out and injury.

Underrated but the Argentina team of 2012 were incredible to watch

The front four was unstoppable, shame they peaked in 2012 and not in 2014.

----------------Higuain
Aguero----------Messi----------Di Maria

Quality in attack but meant a lot of the players behind them had a lot to do. Di Maria is the main worker there.

Think in 2010 and 2014 they suffered a lot from lack of fluency and chemistry as an overall team. It's amazing they got to the final in 2014 because even there I felt they were more individual stars than a cohesive team (though not like in 2010 under Diego).

The 2012 Argentina team were more of a counter attacking team and Aguero, Messi and Di Maria were lightning fast at the time so mostly they were sitting in a mid-block. Higuian was no choker as well.

2010 and 2014 were unlucky for different reasons and 2012 was the sweet spot in terms of physicality, experience and talent.

Yeah dude i remember the 2012 times, first time since a long time they played nice offense football and Messi got the numbers he got at Barca. I think they were still great im WC but Sabella chose to play safer. It killed the offense power of this team but improved massively their defence block. Conceding 0 goals in knockout stage rounds is immense. Difficult to say if they would have won it with a more offense tactic 😬
