Bullshit, there were many doubters. Wisely so. Argentina has not impressed in this tournament, but strangly they look tight in defense and well organized. At least against belgium and netherlands.

Hallo dear. I think Sabella has organized the side well. Recognized the need to bring in Biglia and Perez to bolster midfield (they should make me manager of the seleccion
).Unfortunately all of the fantastic four have been carrying some injury or other or have ended up being injured. di Maria was missed today for his ability to get beyond the last man. That said Perez as I thought he would be was immense. Substituting him allowed the Dutch more play down their left.
God bless all the Argentina fans in here. It will be a difficult task on Sunday but not an impossible one. And we certainly won't defend like the selecao did.

Sabella better watch the 7-1 a few times. It was more brazil imploding than anything else. But the germans are rested. How happy are you now?

I don think Sabella will make the same mistakes as Brazil.
For a start he wont have either full back bombing on like Marcelo did and Germany exploited.
Argies wont play long ball after long ball from the back the way the Brazilian did either.
They will defend the areas on front of the back four better than Brazil simply by having Masch there.
Lastly I dont think the Germans can play a high defensive line and pressure the Argies defence and midfield the way they did to Brazil. They were able to do that as had no fear of Fred/Bernard/Hulk going back the other way.
They will be wary of Messi the pace/moevement of Higuain.
Not saying Argies will win but dont think Germany will attempt to play same way and dont think Argies are set up to make same errors.

No one who enjoys football supports the cheating disgrace netherlands. Barcafans should quite obviously support Argentina - Masch and Messi simply deserve it. The two team I like the most are in the final, I also put my money on Argentina winning the tournament.

Before the substitutions were made I was impressed with how the team was playing. Very calm and composed. They did not look clueless with possession in comparison to their earlier games. The midfield of Biglia, Masche and Enzo worked really well.
Enzo brought different qualities to Di Maria. Was very impressed with him. Would like to see them both playing at the same time. Or maybe bring in Di Maria as a substitute.
Which bring me to how the substitutions were off point by Sabella, from my point of view. I believe Lavezzi should have been subbed out first. Subbing out Enzo was one of the reasons Lavezzi, Palacio and Aguero were so anonymous and Argentina lost possession.

I confess I took a very long walk in my garden to look at the stars and could not watch the shoot out.
I came back to sneak a peek at the tickertape on the BBC saw Argentina through and screamed......Right now I am on cloud nine. I expect Uncle Alex has already brought the team back down to earth and will be putting in hours of research on the Mannschaft.If we do win on Sunday dear, then my feet along with all Argentina fans across the world will not touch the ground for months.....

When the board came up for Perez I immediately thought of Roman being subbed out in 2006. Palacio did not offer half as much as Perez.And taking off Higgy ? If they are going to remove him then they need to pass more accurately into the channels or into feet and losing Perez was isolating Kun/Leo/Pocho.
That is the only questionable thing but all the subs scored their penalties but Maxi and Palacio will be thanking the footballing gods after missing those late chances.

I dont think Palacio is a great player but the team has generally improved when he has come on, other than tonight.
