Shame he is injured right now. We Dutch need him right now
He has been so good the last couple of years that you automatically start depending on him more.

Might be out for the whole season. Big blow to Bayern..

I wouldn't wish injury upon any player. But now that he's already injured...

That's a big blow for Bayern München. They are a totally different team when he is in form. He should be ready for the semifinals though.

I always kind of liked Robben. Strange as most neutrals tend to dislike him especially further back in time. Yet I always liked him as a player since his days at Chelsea. In fact I wanted us to buy him. I still regret us not buying him.

Such an exciting player to watch that has just gotten better with age. Still criminally underrated. In my eyes he has been only second to Messi and Ronaldo for the past 3-2 seasons which says a hell lot.

He really is f'n brilliant. His left foot curler is second to none, even Messi's.

Call me when Neyma® reaches Robben's 1) shot accuracy, 2) effective results from the dribble, and 3) provision for his teammates. Then you might make a case for "future balon d'or winner."

Do you really feel the need to compare Neymar to everyone? You're so obsessed. Robben is already at the end of his carrer and Neymar is just starting.

Right? Only 2 1/2 years ago Robben was the biggest flop on the planet who got booed in the Allianz after choking in the decisive games against Dortmund in Bundesliga and Chelsea in the CL. Here is what resident Bundesliga fan el tren wrote back in 2012, one only needs to go a couple pages back in this thread:

Robben is finished. Lost pace from his injuries, which wasnt visible yesterday b/c Chelsea played so deep. He also lost his shooting skills and his coldbloodiness in front of the goal. 1-2 years ago, you saw him cutting in and hammering the ball into the angle. Now he hit them high into the sky. His set pieces, esp. the corners from the right, were a joke. Not worthy a professional footballer - he still didnt stop taking them himself. These corners didnt have any spin to drop down into the box ... no, they were still ascending when they left the box again.

With that in min, i think he lost acceptance within the team completely now. His ego and selfishness works when he succeeds in doing the game-deciding actions. BUt after sending 5-6 shots into the sky in good positions, missing another important penalty its prolly over now. Ribery was punching him a few weeks already, now he should be completely dropped by his teammates. Thus i dont see Bayern being able to keep him for the team spirits good. Really not.

Its not that single match from last night that makes him finished. Its his complete season. He really neither doesnt have the pace like 1-2 yrs ago, nor the goal scoring abilities.

Perhaps the most tactically stupid player of all time.

He has always been a very restricted player. BUt he was once very very good in the 2-3 things he could do. Too bad he isnt anymore ...

Funny how quickly things change in football, eh? No one seems to remember the "Pep will defo sell him, selfish idiot doesn't fit Pep's passing philosophy" discussions anymore.

When Robben was Neymar's age he barely managed 10 goals per season. But yeah, let's compare their shot accuracy when Robben is 31 and playing the best football of his life and Neymar just turned 23 and is still developing.
