And who is available in January that would change that? Berbatov is old, inconsistent and temperamental, he's certainly not the answer.

Berbatov, if motivated would be probably be a better player than Giroud and certainly a better CF than Walcott or Podolski. While classes above Bentdner.

It is not that bad a signing.

Arsenal have had plenty of technically gifted players with lousy attitudes and for the most part they didn't work.. Berbatov's just a glorified, taller, less charming Arshavin.

Benteke is bad. The hype about him settled down, Aston Villa fans were calling him out for poor performances, then he got injured.

There's no top quality options we can realistically sign in January, so it's best not to waste a lot of money signing someone who's not the quality we really need and wait until the summer for the market to open up after the world cup.
I wouldn't be against loaning someone like Morata, if it's possible.

I am a Villa fan and you have that slightly muddled up. He started the season in exactly the same form as last, then got injured. Its the first real injury of note in his career and he's taken a bit of time to get his confidence back and be moving freely again. There were signs of that coming back last weekend. Now Kozak is out for the season though he won't be going anywhere in Jan.

Arsenal fans and the team should embrace that challenge. I know I would if we had a run like that in the league, CL and the FA Cup.

I love it when the big games keep rolling around. I love feeling like a nervous wreck waiting for that next game. Hopefully we'll have some of that next season.

Am I the only one who thinks they're overdoing it? They just won 2-0, at home, against one of the worst Spurs sides in many years, they still haven't won shite and it's like they just made it to the CL final.
I know it's a derby and all but normally it's the smaller club of the two that goes bonkers over a win.

Anytime we can one over the Spurs (or should I say two) we take the chance. Spurs have actually looked decent these past few games, we just smacked around what is shaping up to be their starting XI with a mix of starters and players out of position or bench players, and a derby is a derby.

There's nothing wrong with it I just find it a bit weird. The coins could explain Walcott's reaction although we'll never be sure if they threw the coins because of Walcott's gesture or if Walcott did it because they threw coins

Chance for Gnabry and Ox to step up? But surely Wenger will need to buy now... Anyway, feel more bad for Theo than for Arsenal really. Hopefully he'll recover fast and well.

Yeah, I guess Gnabry will be our starting right winger now, to be fair though he's a great player so we won't be hurt too much, but if he gets injured...

I doubt he will be the starting player on the right if Wilshere, Cazorla even Ozil are about.

He will see more minutes though.

Unbelievable. This is a huge blow to Arsenal because there's a real lack of goalscorers now. By now, everyone has gotten used to Ramsey stepping up but he's out, Theo out, Giroud is not scoring, Bendtner out, Podolski is not an option as CF so that leaves Arsenal with what, Özil and Giroud as strikers?

Huge blow to Theo as well of course. Was picking up some great form and now he's going to miss the world cup. Christ.

Chamberlain will be back soon.

Gnabry does look ready and up for the task, but that could be a huge amount of pressure for an 18-year-old. Would be more ideal if he knew it didn't all depend on him, to say the least. But Arsenal have managed without Theo for the first part of the season as well, so they should be fine.
