Schneiderlin/Aurier/Vela to be the players we sign.

Then, sign a CF who is clinical with the money available after the above three are signed. I'm guessing it'll probably take £30m for the above, and a further £30m made availble for a CF.

Hope Wenger doesn't give Jenkinson the thumbs up for the RB spot. Oh dear god.

What do you guys think about Iturraspe? I saw him playing for Spain the other week and I thought he could be exactly what we need, he's big, physical, pretty fast but also has elegance on the ball and is a good passer. The only problem would be that Bilbao are a pain to negotiate with, but other than that...

The moment I thought of Arsenal's DM needs, Iturraspe seemed the perfect fit. But still, hands off :p

Hmmm off the radar of most people, seems a typical Wenger signing. Never seen him play tbh unless he was in the team that smashed Man Utd that time.

No we'll sign a RB for sure, they had a bid rejected for Juanfran which shows we're looking for experience, Aurier it seems is a fall back. He's talented but inexperienced, but you run the risk of him going elsewhere if you wait to long pursuing other targets.

I'd be happy with any of Schneiderlin/Bender/Khedira

Think Griezmann is the target not Vela, not sure we're going to get a big name striker or if any are available...it's going to be someone like Remy.

Seems Cesc really is going to Chelsea. So I'm curious of how the Arsenal fans feel about that.

At first: Gutted.

But slowly and surly, realising that he was offered and we said no. What else is he going to do? Retire? lol I'll always have sour g****s, because after all the barca/real/Jose/Wenger drama, hes signing for them.

Arsenal fans have been here before with Ade/Nasri/VanP/Gallas so it's nothing new. I'm seeing it as "Wenger signed Ozil, gave Ramsey 130k a week, Oxlade is ready to explode next season" - trying to stay positive. Don't hate Cesc, that's football - it really is a slags game.

@Haruko The Goon

So from that share holders meeting the other day am i correct in thinking the general consensus is that a Striker, RB and A winger are top priorities? If so do you think you plan on playing arteta alongside ramsey next year then? A lot of gooners i speak to really want arteta replaced with a top quality DM, does Wenger seem to think the same?

Sad, but I understand.

His departure left a gaping hole in our midfield, and in our club as a whole. What happens when the player that the entire team strategy is built around suddenly decides to leave? We went down like a stack of dominoes. Nasri left, Clichy left, RVP left. There was uncertainty over whether Wenger would even renew his contract back then. It was horrible. But somehow we endured it and moved on. Ramsey came back from his leg break and had a phenomenal season, we surprised the world and signed Mesut fucking Ozil, and our back 5 became more solid than it has been in a decade. Hell, even Flamini came back! We survived, moved on, and won a trophy.

Now he wants to come back? Now?! The timing couldn't have been worse. Had it been last summer, Wenger would've paid the extra 15+ mil Madrid wanted for Higuain and we'd have Cesc+Higuain as our summer signings. Instead we sorted our attacking midfield and now there's no place for him. On top of that, we really need to sign a defensive midfielder and a striker. There are other priorities.

Also, why Chelsea? No offense Antonnn (you're one of the good guys), but Chelsea fans have really latched onto the narrative Mourinho is crafting about Wenger. You know, specialist in failure, loser, etc. It's infuriating. Now he's going THERE? Once I see that pic of Cesc holding up a blue kit, I'll take a break from football for a few weeks...

Ah well, whatever he does will never erase what a massive player he was for us. What a fucking shame.

I feel you brother.

As a Barcelona fan first and foremost, the thought of him playing under Mourinho hurts more than anything else.

Man... how times change. I wish him the best.
