If Manu is in for Vidal you should really try highjacking that deal. Huge blow to Manu and much better than Khedira

Having Chile's 2 best players would be awesome even if spending much on Vidal would mean no striker or just Remy

If Vidal was actually available, every big club in the world would be after him. From Barca to Real to Bayern to Chelsea, etc. Juventus know they have one of the best players in the world, and have no interest in selling. The chance to get Vidal was before he made his big move

See thats were your wrong, Barca are stocked in cm and it is well known the remaining budget will be spent elsewhere and they can't afford to blow 50 million on vidal, Real have just signed kroos and already have modric who is better whilst also having alonso, illara and casimero, Chelsea just splashed out on cesc and have on eye on ffp and bayern already are well stocked in that position and i am sure vidal wouldnt be the kind pep would look for in his system. Also he went against his word and joined juve a few years ago which pissed of the bayern board. We pretty much have a free run at him but i still doesn't change the fact it won't happen in the first place

Yeah till they crumble again and end up 4th again.

We got 3rd place 3 seasons ago, and last season improved our points tally by quite a bit. The only reason we got 4th was because other clubs improved as well. It's something we're working on. Our points are steadily going up.

Even so, we only lost Sagna, and are going to replace him like-for-like with a league proven RB. We signed Ozil last season and Sanchez this season. We won the FA cup. The only thing we're doing right now is getting stronger, so I don't see how we'll crumble. Hell, we even hired a new physio to deal with our injuries: the german national team's  . What we need now is a bit of luck with injuries, and a strong finish in the league.

Don´t take it too seriously when i´m talking about Arsenal.I am just joking.
Arsenal is the most likeable top Club from England for me and they have done good so far in the Transfer window. Not sure if they can win the league and getting past the 1st knock out rounds of the Cl again would also be nice (kinda understandable though when you look at the opponents they got this past few seasons  ).
But its nice to see that they can spend big on Quality Players again

I bet Löw took Podolski along just for morale. He's brilliant.

A bit of luck with injuries would go a long way. 2012-13 we were over 20 points behind the title winners. This time only 7 points -- and without most of our midfield and only Giroud up front all season.

This time, Wenger signed the German NT's physio. Hopefully that will change things. Not even counting Sanchez and Debuchy (and whoever else we bring in), having Theo for the season would've gotten us those 7 points. 2 wins and a draw.

What do Arsenal fans on the forum think of Thomas Eisfeld leaving for Fulham? I've heard him described as a promising midfield talent.

Well he's 21 and had little chance of breaking into the first team squad,if he gets first team football at Fulham then that's better than wasting a few years playing the odd league cup match.

He looked a good technical player but Gnabry is more talented and it's going to be tough for him to breakthrough fully so never mind Eisfeld. Arsenal let a lot of young players go on cheap deals but with high sell on fees. So if they get some success down the line, the idea being the youth set up is relatively self sustaining and you hope you get that one player who makes the breakthrough (Wilshere). Can't remember a player we let go that we've truly regretted. Vela perhaps but he came with a big reputation from the start.

It's all gone a bit quiet on the holding midfielder role...Reports yesterday that Arsene is thinking of playing Wilshere in that role. Has to be nonsense.

I think he's in the shop window more than anything.

Disagree. I think that's the only role he will excel in long term. He doesn't have the quick feet, close control or vision to play further up the field, but he does have great athleticism and a very good range of passing.

No way, Wilshere cannot play as the deepest midfielder who carries the most defensive responsibility. He has more strings to his bow to play further forward than he has further back. Ideally he should play between these as the '2nd' midfielder but Ramsey is perfect for that role so hence the 'Wilshere conundrum'.

This is it. This is the year Arsenal will finish in the top 3 in the PL. The Ramsey-Ozil duo will carry the midfield while Alexis leads the attack. The defense is solid.

Can't wait too see them rock the PL this season!

Until someone gets injured and they will soon be struggling for 4th place like always. But I want Ramsey and Alexis to play well, we have to wait and see what happens.
