If one, two or however many say one thing positive or negative that automatically lumps them as speaking for everyone?

With thousands of members I wonder how many are actually voicing their opinion, how many of them are the fickle people being branded here to turn the course of a thread?

Intriguing...

Like wise in the Barça v City thread, I don't recall seeing anyone saying we'll lose, but I did see a collection of mixed opinions. Even after the Malaga loss you had people saying we'd still win and were as confident as ever. Just because he/she said this and he/she said that doesn't mean they speak on behalf of another... that is when thing's are taken out of context and perceived in the wrong manner.

Of course everyone will come in this thread after such a match. Many expected Arsenal to beat Monaco but they got taken apart at home. It´s a shocking result(with Arsenal it´s probably less shocking).
After 4 years of facing Barcelona and Bayern you finally get an easier Opponent but you actually manage to get a worse result against an Opponent who is to be fair defensivly solid but only scored 4!! Goals in the
Groupstages.

Arsenal just don´t look like they improve at all to me.

Well I'm speaking to the people who did come into the thread, by "everyone" I mean all of them, not every single human being posting on barcaforum. And you have to admit this thread gets flooded whenever Arsenal lose, just browse the past 10 pages to confirm that

Right, I went back on my statement that everyone thought Barca will lose after browsing the thread. I messed up with that point, but people being confident in Barca actually supported my opinion so whatever

I agree 100%. But it's one thing to come in and say "wow Arsenal played terribly today oh my god" completely different to going "oh my god Arsenal are such a terrible team, they won't win in the future, Arsene should be fired, etc.".

And as for our improvement, again, if you cherrypick the worst games of the season and being like "look how Arsenal played here, therefore they can't be better than a few years ago" and ignore all of our positive results and clear progress, then yes, it won't appear any better. It's like the Barca fans who went to the Enrique thread after the Sociedad and Malaga losses and were like, "see I knew it Enrique sucks he should be fired" and then didn't talk when Barca proceeded to slaughter everyone afterward.

You should really stop comparing whatever happened with Barça, to Arsenal, Semi. I can't see how people being confident in Barça supports your opinion. If Barça had lost to city by 3-1 at the Camp Nou, I would highly doubt a come back to be possible, at their home.

Considering how we could have had 3 goals today even though we played absolutely awfully, I think it's fair to say we could score 3 if we played well

What an absolute joke of a football club, seriously.

Arsenal always had the potential to keep up with the big teams in Europe but how the hell are they able to reach this level with a clueless coach? It's unbelievable that the fans and the club are happy with the 4th spot and the round of 16 in the CL every damn season. It's a result of terrible mismanagement as well as stupid transfers. How is it even debatable that Arsenal needs a new coach? How is it possible that a team with such good players get exposed every damn time?

I can't understand the mess that is Arsenal. Ridiculous.

Pretty amazing how they keep finding new ways of disappointing. Feel bad for Sanchez only.

I guess it's just a difference of mentality, if City didn't do anything special and Barca proceeded to commit suicide then I would say a reversal at the Etihad would be possible

You're saying monaco didn't do anything special? I don't watch all arsenal games, but I watched this one. Monaco was toying with Arsenal. This, along with the fact they only conceded 2 goals until now, and I really don't understand your confidence.

And winning 3-1 at the camp nou is something special on its own. I really don't understand you, at all.

Sorry if I sounded like I was having a pop Semi, genuinely not & trying to add to discussion =)

Understand where you're coming from so all good & also my initial post was open to everyone instead of being directed at you specifically if it read that way, my apologies.

I can only imagine the thread is as how you describe as I've heard it in other parts of the forum happening etc etc. First time I've been to the Arsenal thread, came to read up as to wtf happened but then see the last 2 pages of just... I don't know what tbh, pointing fingers. Meh.

I don't think it's that Arsenal fans are content with fourth, it's that they're shit scared of dropping off into Spurs/Liverpool territory. No reason why it couldn't happen.
