Try and beat Schalke first.

Pellegrini has built a very competent and a balanced unit. Malaga beats Arsenal in every dept, their wingplay is much superior, a proficient midfield (Toulalan-Camacho-Isco), so is their defense. And Pellegrini a better tactician. If Malaga can bring their A game, the Emirates team stands no chance.

I don't buy it

We beat Barcelona, the following week we lost to Birmingham in a cup final. Does that mean Birmingham > Barcelona?

If Malaga brings their A game they'd still be beaten by Arsenal in two legged game imo, but it would be close. Cazorla-Arteta-Wilshere is better than Toulalan-Camacho-Isco so they'd control the game.

I don't know if Pellegrini is a better tactician than Wenger, but certainly Wenger's know how in these sort of games far surpasses Pellegrini's.

Draw at Goodison is a good result, but nevertheless it pains me to watch us so dire and lackluster at the moment. We're performing like a midtable team. Total lack of cohesion everywhere on the pitch, misplaced passes, poor movement, shaky defending, lack of quality etc etc.

I've ruled the EPL and UCL out for this season, there's no way we can win any of them. I'm still confident of getting 4th even if we perform like this for the rest of the season. But I'm also clinging on to the idea that this is one of our usual annual blips, and performances will get much better to the way we're accustomed to playing when at our best.

Chin up! 7th is almost mid-table mate!

Only to the EPL fans may be. I doubt you even know anything about Camacho.

Arsenal need to buy players in the January window, and not let anyone leave. Right now, they just don't have enough depth.

I would bring back Henry, maybe move for Huntelaar, try to get another good defensive mid and make a move for Isco. Then we'd be talking!
