When Bale dives, he's being "clever". When Ashley Young dives (every single game), nobody bats an eyelash. When a non-British player dives (Eduardo, Cazorla, Suarez), it's a witch-hunt of epic proportions. The media shouldn't pick and choose when to be self-righteous and shocked. Either all of it is okay, or none of it is.

I'm not sure if all refs are like this, but something I dislike about EPL refs is their habit to watch incidents at HT and do the best they could to even things up if they've seen a mistake. Following the interval there were a few incidents. Arteta gets thumbed in the eye and goes down, free kick went WBA's way for obstruction. Mertesacker got booked for his reaction after he made an excellent tackle that the referee called a foul on. Cazorla bought down hard outside the box directly in front of the ref, no free kick.
Happens in every game, referee will give decisions out of nothing to balance things up a bit after viewing replays at half time. This is neither fair nor right. They should not watch decisions and they should rather call everything down the middle, no bias.
In yesterday's game West Brom didn't really take advantage of the ref's second half leniency and instead argued with the linesman over spoilt milk. Guess the ref had enough of being lenient at that point and gave us a second penalty.

I think it might have hurt Cazorla, don't know, but I doubt he was intentionally trying to get a penalty. He's not that kind of guy, you know?

I fully expect Ketoth and/or Robbie to tell me that this competition is completely worthless to them and to Wenger. Which is why Wenger is playing a fully strength team and they still cannot take out Bradford in normal time! It makes it more lulzworthy that wenger is taking this competition seriously :D I fully expect Arsenal to get a couple in extra time and win 3-1 or 4-1 but still its quite ironic that Wenger puts in a strong team for this competition and they still flounder!

If the live reporter on a certain unnamable site is anything to go by, Bradford has eight consecutive penalty shootouts wins.
