Arsenal

To be fair, Wenger said a while ago that this cup was only 5th on his list of priorities, so it's not like it's going to take any back-tracking.

Arsenal are already way too far behind in the Premier League and simply not good enough to win it. Their only hope of a title is the FA Cup. Can anyone explain to me why Wenger fielded a B team in the final match of the Champions League when they could have won the group? Now they are going to get knocked out in the round of 16 for sure. Their possible opponents include Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, PSG, and Malaga. Of those, I can only see them maybe beating Malaga. Wenger is an idiot.

Mickey Mouse cup, who cares?

We're Arsenal, not Liverpool. We fight for £30m top 4, not £100k Capital One Cup.

You are right you are not Liverpool you are Arsenal. Forever a club which is irrelevant in europe and 8 years without a trophy!

We're in the last 16 of Europe. This makes us irrelevant how?

One of Europe's top clubs. Something Liverpool could only dream to be once more.

Irrelevant because you have never won it. Thus in the annals of european football history you are irrelevant.

Spurs have won more in europe than Arsenal Nuff said.

That shot from Cazorla which hit the crossbar though... That was stylish...

Anyway, there was a good midfield but no striker to capitalize, not to mention Ox couldn't send in a single accurate cross, drove me crazy. Arsenal should try playing Cazorla out wide and Wilshere + Rosicky in the middle. Cazorla would certainly be better than Gervinho. And if Wenger doesn't get Henry and Huntelaar in the January transfer period, Arsenal is screwed. Isco would also be worth looking into.

(I only watched from minute 60 onward, just saying)

Wenger can't be held responsible for the out come. He showed his intentions to win the game by fielding a strong side where as he'd normally play a second string team. The side he played are good enough to beat Bradford by anything up to 10-0 they didn't because of the players putting in a poor performance, nothing to do with Wenger. To suggest this loss was Arsene's fault would mean the squad he played and tactics used are not up to the job, which would be suggesting that team are not good enough to beat a 4th division team, which is completely ridiculous. Completely the players fault tonight, but naturally Wenger will take the wrap because the Arsenal fans are fickle as hell. A good result later in the season, a boxing day win over West Ham perhaps? They'll be singing a different tune. Besides 'you know who' will be returning in January, that'll keep em happy. :king:
